Hi Everyone – Happy December!
Quick post for you today. I love the images in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Lineup set – they are guaranteed to make me smile.
I decided to have a little fun with today's version. My regular visitors will know by now that I spent time in South Africa. Well, the South African rugby team are called the Boks – short for – the Springboks. The Springboks wear Green and Yellow…. So, I decided to change the reindeer into Springboks (hey Cherie!!!) – the other thing about this is that… the Australian rugby team – also wear Green and Yellow. Many of you know that my hubby is Australian… so you can imagine what it's like when South Africa plays Australia in our house……
As this stamp always makes it look as though the reindeer are making fun on Rudolph… I decided that Rudolph was in the Australian colors – and the rest of the reindeer were in South African colors and that the South Africans were laughing at the Australian rugby team. I know… I know… does everyone else make up stories when they build cards! No! It's just me! Oh heavens!
Anyway, here's Rudolph the Australian rugby player – being laughed at by the South African rugby players… to add insult to injury – I decided to really make Rudolph's nose stand out – and placed a red Rhinestone on his nose!
So…. why is Rudolph grinning….. that's because the Australians always seem to beat the South African's these days…and that's the reason the Springboks are looking so disgruntled!
Card Recipe:
- Holiday Lineup stamped on Whisper White card stock
- The rugby players were colored in Garden Green and Crushed Curry markers. Their hair was colored in Crushed Curry and Soft Suede – as was their antlers.
- I used Real Red card stock for the card base
- I used the red and white gingham ribbon
- I mounted the stamped image onto the matt bases with Stampin Dimensionals
- The Giggle sentiment is from the Warm Words set and I punched it out using my oval punch. My scallop punch was used for the Real Red card stock
I hope you all have a fabulous day and thank you so much for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits are always much appreciated.
Peace and blessings
Jaydee

BIG SMILE! Thanks for the the cute card and the laugh. Hope you shared with Lou the reason why you were laughing so hard when you thought of the Springboks. Wouldn’t want him to think you were laughing at his Aussies.
