Happy Friday. Again!
I had the afternoon off today and decided to play in my craft room just for the fun on it. I went looking for some new challenges and went along to challengesfordays.blogspot.com to see what they had listed. I found TGIF had a sketch that I liked so decided to play along with that. I was inspired to ink up another set I haven’t used very much. It’s a set called Lemon Blossom from The Greetery. I went with bright citrusy colors – most unlike me!
Bright greens and yellows. I cannot remember the last time I used those colors together 🙂 Here’s the sketch from TGIF
For the focal panel I decided to create my own background using the lemon and lime stamps from the set. Once I had finished stamping I added some splatters and flecks using white, grey and black inks. Once I was finished I decided it was still a little too bright for me, so I used the old “hide it with vellum” trick 🙂 The diffusion really helped to tone it down just a little. I stamped the sentiment and added the fruit and a small flower.
Here’s my card:

I’ll be back again tomorrow with another card. This time returning to my 10 day “what can you create with Earthen Textures”! In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight
Hugs
Jaydee
