Happy Sunday
It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and this is her sketch:
I have no idea why, but this sketch caused me no end of issues this week. I started on 4 different cards with different DSPs and focal elements and just wasn't happy with any of them. In the end, I decided this one was the one I could photograph and share. I don't think it was the sketch, I think it's because I haven't been in my craft room for a while and it just takes me ages to get bak into it. Sadly, I am not going to make it in there today either, so may have to try during the week as I have lots of challenge cards to catch up with 🙂
For my three panels I inked up the Fond of Foliage background stamp from The Greetery in gold ink. I dried that and then cut out the three panels. I took out one of my favorite SU stamps – Love of Leaves and inked that up with orange, yellow and deep red and die-cut and embossed it using the matching dies. I stamped the sentiment from Fall Foliage and combined all the elements onto a Cajun Craze base.
Here's my card:
I hope you will join us and play along this week. As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
I'll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

You card certainly does not look like you struggled with it, Jaydee, because I LOVE it! The background leaves are just subtle enough to make that big bold orange, yellow and red leaf stand out perfectly, and the sentiment is beautiful!
Such a pretty Autumn card, Jaydee! I so wish I would have gone that direction this week! Your leaf packs such a punch! Take care!
Jaydee, I always get a little lift from your cards, blog and sweet comments. And inspiration! This card was the first to catch my eye in the gallery. I agree with LeAnne, the subtle background is just right. The stitching is a great addition. You rocked the sketch, and I love your card. Hugs.
The balance of neutral panel background and single bold and beautiful leaf for a focal point makes for a beautiful autumnal card Jaydee. I can totally empathise with your challenge this week though – I find being away from my craft desk for too long is the biggest halt to creativity too. Wishing you a productive week!
What a warm and wonderful way to welcome Autumn with a card! I love the big orange leaf and the big hello sentiment! Very pretty!
Jaydee, the softness of the colors in your patterned paper are the perfect background for the bold, beautiful maple leaf and card layer. Great use of the sketch.
Beautiful, Jaydee! I love the leafy background you stamped. It’s the perfect backdrop for the large focal leaf. Have a wonderful weekend!
Regardless of your struggles I think you ended up in a lovely place with this card! I love gold background panels and your focal leaf just pops off the card front! Have a great weekend!
Such a gorgeous card, Jaydee! I especially love the big bold sentiment. The font is so fresh and fun!
