Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday Night.
Well my newly organized stamping space is almost finished. It was another late night last night… or should I say morning! It was around 1am when we got into bed and the roofing team were here at 7am! We are going to relish having a little lie in tomorrow morning. It has so been worth it though. I can't believe what a difference it has made. I need two more three drawer boxes and some frosting sheets for the glass doors and then we will be finished.
It seems that so many people I know are making moves towards marriage including my great-niece and my step-daughter, that I thought another wedding card is in order. This one is very different to either of the ones I have shown you recently.
A square card in pink, black and white. Not my usual combination I know, but I have known brides who use this color combo. It certainly is striking.
Once again this is a layout that can be changed to suit any color scheme. I love the ribbon it makes it look like a fabulous parcel. If you haven't tried the Satin ribbons yet, you really should.
The tags are from the Tiny Tags set from the Spring Mini.
The black and white paper is the Night and Day DSP.
The pink paper is from the Welcome Neighbor set – free as an SAB item.
I punched the 1" squares of paper and backed them onto a 4" piece of white card stock. I then adhered that to the 4 2/5" card base using dimensionals.
Before adhering down the squares, I wrapped the Whisper White Satin Ribbon around and tied into a knot. I decided to fork the tails of the ribbon to echo the background black and white paper on the bottom right hand corner. The hearts on the pink paper were the perfect touch for a wedding card.
Well…. the roof is complete. The boys worked really hard. We have a VERY steep roof and they were running around on it like mountain goats. It was also very windy today, which didn't help them at all. They were a well brought up bunch of young men and their parents should be very proud of them. It feels so good to get the roof replaced. (We had issues with certainteed shingles, like so many other people did.) The $300 we will get back from the manufacturer to cover the issues won't even put a little, teeny, tiny, microscopic dent in the cost of the new roof. However, it did pay for my new cupboard and some of the new storage I bought. 🙂
Once I have declared the cupboard complete, I will take some pictures and show you some of the storage I used.
I hope you ALL have a fabulous Sunday and get to spend time enjoying this amazing weather. I swear I can see all the plants growing. Literally overnight the bushes seem to have grown by inches!
Hugs
Jaydee

Absolutely wonderful. Such unusual colors and patterns. I love this card!
Love how you used the DSP! The tiny tags are the perfect touch!
This is such a unique card for a Wedding. I just love it! What a great inspiration you came up with. I wouldn’t have thought to do this on my own. Thanks. Replacing roof’s is no inexpensive matter, we had ours done 2 years ago. Ahh, bushes, I think our Globe Arborvites grew a foot and so Bob was out there today trimming them. They do look wonderful now. Hope you have a Happy Sunday. It has suddenly turned cold here again, oh no. Where did our warn weather go?
Cyber hugs, Trish in Wisconsin
