Hi Everyone,
I know that some of you (those of you who have been able to watch my videos) are probably accustomed to my Technique Tuesday's by now. Unfortunately, as many of you are probably aware, I was out of the country for nearly 3 weeks and then this week have been really tied up with catching up at work and trying to cope with the mess of the electric fire and flooded basement since I got home. Consequently, I have not been able to record any videos for you.
Therefore, I have another card to share with you this evening. I don't know why, but I have really been on a clean and simple streak since I got back … and here is another example. I used the sketch across at cleanandsimple stamping. It's a really cool sketch and decided to bring out some retired goodies for this card. You can see the sketch on the right.
Here's my take on the sketch:
Sorry about the pic… I don't lnow what is going on technologically right now…. it seems everything is breaking on me….
Card recipe – all ingredients SU unless otherwise noted:
- Icicle Rub-ons (retired)
- Sentiment: Signature Greetings Christmas (non SU)
- Card stock: Whisper White, Metallic Silver
- Ink: Encore Silver
- Accessories: Basic Rhinestones
- Tools: Eyelet Border punch, stampin dimensionals
This weekend, I will see if I can take a better picture – one that brings out the richness of the card and doesn't wash out the top of it!
On a personal note: It was wonderful to walk into the bathroom this morning and have the floor somewhat warm for a change… this last week I have walked in there and my toes have curled up from frostbite :-) The new furnace is incredibly energy efficient and very effective. It's also much quieter than our old one. So, day by day little strides are being made to move things along and get things back to normal. It will take a while, but we are getting there.
Tonight Lou is finally on his way home and should be back tomorrow. Tonight, I also get to spend a little quality girl time with Cherie and Brenda. I am really looking forward to that! I am also looking forward to having 4 days at home with no work :-) Now, I know.. I was on vacation for 2 and a half weeks… but you know… I always look forward to a little more downtime!
OHHHHH…. and one final piece of news for you…… remember "the" pink bow card that I made for the Moxiefabworld Tuesday Trigger challenge? Well, blow me down with a whisper if I didn't get to hear that it had been chosen as a Tuesday Trigger this week! I was thrilled. The trigger this week is gingerbread and I have JUST the card in mind for that one!
I hope you will forgive me for not providing you with a Technique Video. I will be working on trying to fix that problem over the next few days, too, so that more of you can view the videos.
Continued prayers for all of you who need them – and an extended hug, too.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.
Hugs
Jaydee

Glad the furnace is working. California is in the midst of a “cold” spell (20’s). Can’t imagine being without heat. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
