Hi Everyone.
Happy Thursday Night. Tomorrow is…. oh yes! FRIDAY!!!! So, I managed to get one card done in my stamping space tonight. I really needed a break from work and even though I was so tired when I finally finished my day, I was determined to come down stairs and do something creative. After 15 minutes, I found that I was into it and it helped melt the stress of the day away. I'm so pleased I discovered this hobby.
Tonight's card uses Bloomin Beautiful and was made using yet another color combination I have never used before – Mellow Moss and Orange.
Before I show you tonight's card – just a quick reminder. SU is getting ready to start sending out the Summer Mini Catalogs. If you do not have a demonstrator and are interested in receiving a catalog, please send me an email at [email protected] with your address and I will send one off to you. If you already have a demo, please contact your demo directly. Those of you who have already let me know you need one, will receive a copy as soon as SU starts to ship them.
Here's tonight's card
Isn't that a gorgeous color combo?
Card recipe:
Card stock: Mellow Moss, Whisper White, Only Orange
Stamp Set: Flower from Bloomin Beautiful (111490)
Inks: Mellow Moss and Only Orange Markers
Embellishments: grosgrain ribbon, small half pearl
Tools: Paper Piercer and Matt Pack
I stamped the inked flower image onto Whisper White card stock. I then stamped the flower and the leaves again on scrap pieces of WW. I cut around the flower and the leaves with my paper snips and pieced them onto the original flower using dimensionals.
I mapped where the focal image would be on my card base and made faint lines in pencil. I then used my paper piercer to create a pierced border around the focal point using my matt pack.
I wrapped a piece of grosgrain ribbon around the focal image and tied it between the sentiment and the flower.
I matted the WW onto Only Orange and then mounted that onto my card base using dimensionals.
I love the clean lines. The added interest comes from the texture. The piercing, the raised flower and leaves, the ribbon and the smoothness of the pearl. I hope you like it. I was certainly pleased with it… NOT like last night's blooper card.
Have a fabulous Friday everyone. I hope your day is a beautiful one filled with laughter, love and a little bit of whatever magic makes your day a happy one. A rainbow, a cuddle from your cat, the sound of your child's laughter, signs of spring, whatever it is.
Remember, make someone a card and remember to send it to them…. just because you can.
Hugs
Jaydee

Another beautiful card. I love the half pearl! It adds just the right amount of bling. Enjoy your week end.
Great color combo–I would not have thought of putting those two together. Beautiful card!
Beautiful card Jaydee. That’s a great combination. I like how you raise the flower and the leaves to give some dimension. And the piercing gives the right touch and bring the focus back to the flower. Enjoy your weekend.
I have to have this Stamp Set! I think I may have ordered it in my last shipment, but I am not sure. I haven’t even opened the box yet! Yikes, I must have too much on my mind. The colors are great, love them, the card is beautiful, love it, and you are wonderful! Have a great weekend.

P.S. For those of you following my little story…I am having Surgery on Tuesday, March 30th. Do you think that sometime during your hectic schedules, you could stop and say a tiny Prayer for me. Thank you with all of my heart. Trish.
