Out of this World

Hi Everyone.  Happy Friday.  YAY! It's Friday!

Another quick card for you tonight.  I'm so glad that some of you left a message about last night's card.  I thought it was cute, so was pleased to hear that you could see it for your own use!   I think you will feel the same way about tonight's card.   This one comes from one of the $5 sets I talked about.

I had WAAAAAAY too much fun creating this card.  Really.  I was so inspired by it.  I stamped it up, colored it up, cut it out and then had fun with some glimmer paper and my gelly rollers!

Here's what I came up with:

Out of this World

Isn't that fabulous?  I just love this image and it comes with the little star stamp and the half moon.  I also got the dies to go with it.  It was great for cutting the stars and half moon out on my Big Shot.  You probably can't see it, but I also took the star stamp and some versamark and stamped some little stars on the blue banner.  Coloring the rocket was fun and I had even more fun coloring the flames!  I popped the rocket, but glued the cut out flames directly onto the base layer.

On a personal note:

I have a couple of great photos of what's been going on in our back yard, but am still having issues uploading the photos into my photo editing software.  Hence, the rather strange copyright symbol and not quite right colors that you have been seeing the last couple of nights.  I'm hoping to get the time to fix that over the weekend.

Well, Lou is on his way home.  He's been traveling every week since Pam and John left.  It makes it harder for me to get things done from a crafting perspective so it's nice to have him around to take on some of the chores… it's also nice to …well… just have him home :-)  He's home now through Thanksgiving, which is great.

This weekend I will be making more cards for the card drive and next weekend we will be dressing the house – inside and out – for Christmas.  I'm really looking forward to decorating our new home and, of course, had to buy some new goodies to help accomplish that!   My UPS man is so accustomed to arriving at our house that I think he can get here on autopilot!

As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  I'll be back tomorrow with the new Paper Players challenge card.  Have a fabulous Saturday everyone.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight

Hugs

Jaydee
