It's the fabulous Sandy's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a very timely challenge for us.
I was inspired by the pink and heart theme and decided to use them on my card. As my fingers are still strapped, I was limited in what I could make, but realized I could easily use my stencils as I only really need my right hand to be flexible for those. I found a stencil that I had in my stash that I forgotten about!
It's a great stencil as it has several sizes of heart and they allowed me to create a custom background from the stencils. My mini blender tool and some Tim Holtz Spun Sugar ink were exactly what I needed to help me create the hearts.
Here's my card:
It was tough taking a photo of this as it is faaaaaaar too cold to go and try to take a shot outside, so I had to take a photo on the dining room table and the sun was coming in the window and casting shadows!
I die cut the top layer with my stitched die cuts and mounted it onto the base with some fun foam. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Black and I used a little glittery heart to finish it off.

On a personal note:
I managed to make three simple cards today. It's very hard trying to use my Big Shot as I hold the machine steady with my left hand – and that's the one that is strapped. So, it took me forever to make the three cards. However, it was wonderful to get into my craft room and just switch off and do some crafting.
The temps have really dropped around here. I think we are scheduled to be -7 as a high tomorrow and it's going to get down to about -20 overnight. With windchill it's going to be down to about -35. The skies are clear, the sun is shining and the world looks white and sparkly. In fact it looks fabulous so long as you are inside. It really is perfect weather for crafting, or sitting in front of the fire and reading a book with a bowl of hot soup!

I laughed at this sentiment,too! I love that stenciled background…so soft. I hope your hand gets better quickly, and that you stay warm! We are freezing up here,too…yikes…why do we live here again?LOL
This is beautifully stenciled! So soft and pretty! And you certainly are one of the people who can do something “with one hand tied behind your back” ! Glad you are getting more movement in your hand and are managing to make more of your gorgeous cards! And oh that sentiment makes me smile!

Really like the beauty and softness of your card; Reminds me of pink cotton candy.
Making and having a homemade light box may help you with your picture taking when you have such cold days and can’t get out. Can make one as fancy and/or simple as you like.

Just love the stencil hearts!! It is a perfect background for a cute saying! Ha! Can think of a person or two that I’d like to send that one to. Hope you are soon back to normal with your other hand. One-handed doing is tiresome. I thought 15 was cold but not like your cold. Stay warm.
Gorgeous Jaydee, so soft and pretty!! That is such a lovely stencil and your sentiment is so fun! Most would not be crafting under your circumstances. It’s great that you’re determined to think outside your comfort zone and make it work regardless, and the result is outstanding! We’ve got cold temps today as well, with wind chill as low as -10. My silly daughter asked to go out for icecream nonetheless! Stay warm and enjoy your soup!

Jaydee, I know what you mean about not being able to craft. I broke my right elbow a few years ago (I’m right handed) so I know how it feels. On a much brighter note, I love, love, love your stenciled card. The sentiment cracks me up too.
