Pinkfresh Studio Reason to Smile for Festive Friday Challenge #196

Happy Friday.

It’s another INSPO list challenge across at Festive Friday this week and we are celebrating a day very near and dear to my heart. We are celebrating Armistice/Veteran’s Day. As always with our Festive Friday challenges, you do not have to follow the theme/holiday that we are celebrating, you just need to include at least 3 things from our INSPO list. For my card today, I used an old set from Pinkfresh Studio called Reason to Smile.

Here’s a sneak peek:

Here is our INSPO list for this challenge:

I stamped the image onto watercolor cardstock as I wanted the coloring to be soft and loose. I used the matching dies to die-cut the image and mounted it onto my card base with foam tape. As I nearly always do, I grounded the image with a stencil. This is an intertwining hearts stencil that I got as a freebie for contributing to the Scrapbook.com Creative Kindness donation drive. I thought the intertwining hearts worked so well for the sentiment.

The sentiment is part of the matching stencil set for the Reasont to Smile set. As I generally celebrate “Poppy Day” in honor of my Dad, I used pinks/reds for the sentiment and the flowers on the wreath.

Here’s my full card:

INSPO list items used: Red, black, watercolor, wreath

As always, our talented design team have some fabulous inspiration for you. I hope you will visit their blogs – and – play along with our challenge this week. We would love to see what YOU create with our INSPO list.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
