Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's clean and simple week. For my card I used a new stencil set from Waffle Flower that is part of their Postal Collage collection called Wildbirds.
Here's a sneak peek:
And here's our challenge badge:
I used the color block stencil to add the sunset skies to each of the squares and then stamped the wildbird silhouettes into each of the squares. As I wanted a more clean and simple card, I die-cut the squares and then cut them into individual stamps. I decided to not use white as the backgroud (gasp!) but to go with blue as I wanted to keep a moody feel to my card. I heat set the sentiment and adhered each of the stamps to the card base.
I hope you will join us and play along with Joanne's challenge. We would love to see what YOU create. As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, mmmmmm… my post is late because I forgot it was Sunday! Lou and I are currently touring British Columbia with some close family members and I honestly lost track of the days. It was only when we were commenting about places being really busy and the reason was probably that it was Sunday, that I realized it was in fact Sunday – and I hadn't written and published my blog!
I will be back later in the week with a card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

I absolutely LOVE these beautiful silhouettes and the amazing night skies. So unique and eye catching! What a fabulous idea for this theme!
Love your birds, especially silhouetted against the pretty sunset backgrounds!
I love BC and I hope you’re having a wonderful trip – so much to explore there! I love your design with this set, Jaydee. It’s a great way to utilize the images outside the collage set up. The skies look magnificent; you’ve definitely created that “moody” feel to your card.
Wow, this card is gorgeous! I’ve been away from my computer for several months so I have a lot of your posts to catch up on. As much as I love all your florals, this is one of my favorite cards you’ve done. Hope you had a great time in BC.
So that is where you were last week! Love those silhouetted birds Jaydee – so atmospheric. The postage outlines make a great frame for your collection of images too. Lovely!
