Hi Everyone
Nance has a great challenge for us this week… pity it took me so long to get a card done!
I decided to open up my MDS and First Edition – one of my go to MDS sets it seems. I needed a sketch. So, I looked at Anne Marie's Sketch from the Paper Players challenge last week and decided to do a play on that. I loved coloring this image with Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and a little Rose Red. All that I needed was a fabulous sentiment. I decided to actually emboss the sentiment in silver embossing powder to give it just a little bit more punch. All that was needed was a few basic rhinestones, a little strip of Patterns Pack, and I was ready to go.
Isn't that just a great sentiment? A pretty image, too. I hope you will pop along to the Paper Players this week and play along with Nance's great challenge. Check out the fabulous inspirations from the design team, too.
On a personal note
Well.. it has been a roller-coaster of a week. Three sick cats. Trips to the vets 2-3 times a day. Pilling each cat 3 times a day. Trying to administer sub-cutaneous fluids to two cats..Hand feeding through the day and night. Working 12-14 hours a day. Negotiating with builders, cable companies, security companies…. arrrggghhh… oh… and, of course, wouldn't you know, Lou is away again! So, I have been experiencing all of this fun myself. I can honestly say I am exhausted and have not felt like card-making at all. I am cautiously optimistic about Merlin. Except the poor thing now has a cold. All the stress he has gone through for the last week has really lowered his resistance. However, he is now managing to urinate on his own. We just need to get him to eat. Not something anyone wants to do when they have a cold and cannot smell food! He's not out of the woods yet…. but we are, as I said, cautiously optimistic that, with a little more time and attention, he will pull through this.
Warm hugs and prayers for all of you who need a lift tonight… and a huge thank you to those of you who left messages of concern and support for Merlin. You have no idea how much that meant to me.
Hugs
Jaydee
P.S. Pammie… extra big hugs for you, my friend

Your card is beautiful, Jaydee! I love the coloring…so soft and perfect. The bling really sets this card off! I am keeping you and your furbabies in my thoughts and prayers…
Beautiful card! My heart goes out to you and your furry kids…it sounds like Merlin is a fighter and things are turning around for him. Hang in there!
What a soft and lovely card Jaydee! I hope all that beautiful coloring brought you a bit of relaxation today! My thoughts are with you and your furbabies!! ((hugs))
I hope you will give yourself some hugs and prayers. It sounds like you could use some and they are on their way.
Such a pretty card. Did you watercolor the flowers, or just use your markers?
Sounds like it has just been crazy, of course you’ve been too tired for card making. I’m so glad to hear that Merlin is improving. Poor little guy catching a cold on top of everything else. You just need to find the stinkiest (to us) fishy soft cat food you can find. Something he just can’t resist.
Hang in there! We sure love our furry kids, don’t we?
Hi Jaydee! Big hugs to you right now. You have so much on your plate right now. Praying for some of this to settle down for you and your kitties to get well. I hope your card making took some of that away for a little bit too. You have created a very soft and pretty card.
Hello lady…have missed you. Wow, way too much on your plate. You need a vacation (who cares if you just had one) take another, or just retire. : ) Lovely card you have to share with us. I love how you say *just a few rhinestones*
: ) Aw, to the furbabies, hope they all get to feeling better real soon.
What a week! Motherhood is often stressful. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh, Jaydee, you are so overburdened right now. I’m so sorry. Big hugs and prayers to carry you through this.
The card is just beautiful. I LOVE the colors and the simplicity of the layout.
I do hope all the furbabies are on the mend and that Lou gets home soon.
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou!!
Good thoughts for you. You are handling a lot on your own. My two doggies are sending special puppy prayers for all your kitties. I hope they are all well again soon!
Jaydee, I am so sorry you have had such a long week. You have so much going on and I know it’s tough. Please know I am thinking about you and sending thoughts and prayers your way, friend. Give those kitties (and yourself) a big hug from me, ok? Your card is absolutely beautiful. So soft and pretty in that elegant style that is so uniquely YOU!
