Happy Monday. I hope you all had a great weekend. I managed to spend some quality time in my craft room yesterday. I used the Stampin' Up! Prized Peony stamp set as well as the Dazzling Diamonds embossing folder for the card that I made for the sketch across at Freshly Made Sketches and the inspiration across at Festive Friday For the festive friday challenge I went with pink, green, flowers (and added a little glitter with the heart!)
I cut two squares – one from white card stock and the other from grey. Those formed the squares for the sketch. Here's a closeup:
I wanted to add a little shading to ground the flower, so added some Smoky Slate grey behind the flower. I adhered the two squares and popped the flower with fun foam and added the sentiment. Here's my card:
I must tell you, I am LOVING this prized peony. it has become one of my favorite sets and I used it for several cards yesterday. So, you will be seeing more of it!
I was standing on the deck with my camera in hand yesterday enjoying the 75 degree weather and a House Finch male popped onto the jelly feeder. He was obviously feeding babies. He took some for himself and then took a whole beakfull off to the nest.
His head looks as though he had the whole thing in the jelly bowl!
