Happy Saturday.
It's my pleasure to host the Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week.
I decided it was time to bring out my Simon Says Stamp gnomes and dress them up in Christmas pyjamas! I used some of the Stampin' Up! plaid paper and die cut the outfits and adhered them to the die-cut gnomes. I added a little texture to their beards by running a piece of whisper white card stock through my big shot with the Dazzling Diamonds embossing folder.. The sentiment was created on my Mac and printed on Neenah Solar White card stock.
The background was created using my cheap blending brushes and I added some "snow" by splattering some Dr Ph. Martin's white ink on top of the blended background. I used some old dies to create the snowdrifts and placed the gnomes on them.
As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, I finally managed to get into my craft room to do some creating today and I am hoping to escape there for a little while tomorrow, too! It isn't the sort of weather that is saying "come out and enjoy me"! We had 7 inches of snow the other day. Breaking records for the most amount of snow this early in the year. Oh… and yeah! we have had another two snowfalls since then!
So, our deck which looked awesome just two weeks ago – looked like this at the end of the first snowstorm.
We moved the table up in time to have dinner on the deck on our anniversary. That night it was 85 degrees when we were sitting having dinner!
Our "little" juniper at the front looked gorgeous. (Side note: when we planted this guy back in 2012, he was about 5 feet high and a couple of feet in diameter. It was touch and go as to whether he would even survive! Now, he's about about 15 feet high and pretty wide and provides so much wonderful shelter for the birds!)
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Love your Christmas gnomes.
Wow, that snow is awesome and so early for this time of year.
We don’t get too much here in the south of England.
Hope you get in your craft room today.

Has it really been that long since you moved into your house? It seems like just a little while ago! Those photos would be beautiful in December. October, not so much!
P.S. Love the card!
Such a fun card. Love it. I have the gnome die but haven’t used it, yet. For me, I love to look at snow, but in October? I can wait.
LOVE these cute gnomes! Great idea to add texture to the beards too. The snow sure is pretty! I don’t mind it but a few months and I may be saying otherwise…lol!
Oh wow, that snow! We’re still having fires out west with warmer than usual temps. Weather! I love the gnomes. I need to pull my die and stamp set out too. I especially like how you used the dry embossing in the beards. Very clever! Stay safe, stay warm!
Those gnomes are so cute, Jaydee, and the punny sentiment is fun! The ink blended sky looks fabulous, it does make it look nice and chilly – good thing those fellas have their cozy jammies on! Looks like you’ve been needing some too – that’s a heck of a lot of snow so early in the year.
Such a delightful card, Jaydee! These little gnomes are adorable dressed up in their die cut outfits. Such a cute sentiment, too. Thank you for the awesome sketch!!!
This little trio of gnomes in Christmas pyjamas is adorable! I love that you took a liberal interpretation of the sketch – so I followed your lead! Love that gorgeous sponged background too. As for the snow – in OCTOBER??!! As beautiful as it looks, I hope you are keeping warm and safe! Hugs to you and thanks for a great sketch this week!
Jaydee, I just love the background you created! The little gnomes made me smile! This was a fabulous sketch! So many amazing entries. I can not believe the snow! WOW! So early! Too cold for me, My Friend! Stay warm!
Your card just makes me smile, Jaydee! SO cute! I have to admit, I’m a wee bit envious of your snow. I really miss it, although I know after a few months the novelty wears off. Ha!
Sooo cute, love the details on their beards!
