Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
I saw a great challenge across at cas-ual fridays this week. Splish Splash! A clean and simple card with something that you would find in, or around, the beach. I couldn't wait to play along – and, in fact, I made two cards!
I don't have many non-SU stamp sets, but occasionally I am drawn to something that really catches my eye (if you will excuse the pun….) This set from Gina K – Quite a Catch – is one of them. I love the images and I love coloring them. I pulled out my Stampin' Up! Chevron embossing folder, some Island Indigo, Pool Part and Very Vanilla card stock – and I was ready to go.
Isn't he cute? I colored him using Copic markers and then cut around him. I popped him up onto the horizontal chevron layer using dimensionals. At first, I wasn't going to use the Island Indigo layer, but when I played around with it, it made his colors pop a little more. Of course, a few rhinestones to imitate bubbles were a necessity :-) You really should pop along to the cas-ual fridays blog and check out the great design team and inspiration cards.
On a personal note:
Yes!!!!! Furniture. It's arriving! Finally! A couch, 4 dining chairs, an outdoor dining chair and a console. Now.. it's the third time they have shipped the couch – and the 4th time they have said they are delivering the outdoor dining chair….but…. I have faith that they will arrive. They are supposed to be arriving on Thursday. That will make things pretty much complete and we can't wait to get them. Well, technically we have been waiting over 4 months – but…. we think they will have been worth the wait. At least Pam and John will now have something to sit on when they arrive… oh, yeah! and so will we!
I have a quick photograph for you tonight… what was at the feeder when I popped out earlier today.
I have some great shots for you tomorrow of a visitor!
In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift.
Hugs
Jaydee

Hi Jaydee! Oh, this is a funny card! I love that fishy face! The rhinestones bubbles are perfect too.
Tomorrow should be a wonderful day getting your long awaited furniture! Hope that goes smoothly and that you have a couch for friends to sit on. Boy, this has been an adventure of patience for you both!
Love seeing Mr. Bluejay at your feeder! They are squawky but beautiful. We have to be in a rural setting to see those now so those are a treat for me. I miss them at my feeder and the squirrels gobble up the peanuts I put out to try to lure them in.
Hey! I remember that fishy face! How fun is he? :o) I really like the way the chevrons mimic waves with that little guy. This is a really fun card. :o)
Furniture? No, really, FURNITURE?? Are you *allowed* to have furniture in your new house? You see, I was under the impression you weren’t given how long it’s taken to get it. ;oP How exciting to finally see your home come together. I’m praying they get it right this time…:o)
Your blue jay is gorgeous! I just love seeing photos of your feathery and furry friends. :o) Speaking of, how are your fine felines enjoying all the scenery? Are they able to view the Heathrow air space?
Thank you for the tip on where to find the Rescue Remedy. We found something last night that seemed to take the edge off–it had tryptophan and camomile in it and seemed to help some, but would really love to find the RR. Poor Finn. :o(
Hugs to you!
P.S. Hiya Lou! I hope all’s well with you too! :o)
Oh how cute, Jaydee! I love the bling bubbles!
I love your pictures of the wild life you post living in a condo restricts us to the almost tame Canada geese(messy)paddeling around in the retention ponds.Thank you for reminding me of Quite a Catch. makes a wonderful birthday card.
Love it! He is too cute! and I love the bling you added too! Thanks for playing along this week with CAS-ual Fridays!
LOL, what a great image on your card!
Sooooooooo ….. did your furniture arrive????
