Hi Everyone. Happy Thursday.
If you missed my initial post about Lou's birthday and the blog candy, you can check out all the details here
This is the second card that I made for Lou. Jeanne, this is for you – another SU card 🙂
I love this Sailing Home set and the papers are fabulous. I decided to try my hand at a layered card using some of the papers and the die-cuts that come with the set.
I blended some Neenah White card stock with blue ink to serve as the focal layer. I die-cut it with my layered stitch circle dies to make it resemble a port hole. I stamped one of the sets of seagulls onto that base. Here's a closeup where you can clearly see the circle that had been blended, vs the piece that was not:
Here's my full card:
Don't you love those papers? I also love how crisply the lighthouse stamps. I'll be back tomorrow with Lou's final birthday card.
Thank you to those of you who have taken the time to leave messages wishing Lou a happy birthday, he's thrilled! For those of you who haven't yet, and would still like to, there's plenty of time. The Tonic Craft Kit blog candy winner will be chosen on Saturday. All you have to do to be entered into the draw is say Happy Birthday 🙂
In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

So happy that you got into the mood for your happy birthday. Love this card that Jaydee did for today. Not sure how one person got so much talent but happy that she did and shares it with all of us. Looking forward to what she comes up with for tomorrow.
Happy Birthday (again) to you, Lou. This second card Jaydee made is wonderful…bet you liked it.
Those papers and your layout are gorgeous!
