Seasons Greetings – Ornament

Hi everyone.  Happy Wednesday night.  Today's card was for the splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple challenge CAS38 – using brads/eyelets.  It was an interesting challenge and I really had to think about it… it's not often that I get to make a feature out of embellishment.  But… when I was done… I was really happy with the card – and …. it's really quick to make.  The most time consuming thing?  Making the holes for the brads. 🙂

Card recipe:

  • Real Red card stock
  • Shimmery White card stock
  • Embossing folder (Elegant Bouquet)
  • Sentiment: Many Merry Messages
  • Brads – Bold Brights
  • Ornament punch
  • Merry & Bright Rub-ons (snowflake)
  • Silver Elastic cord

I took a closeup for you, so that you could see the embossing folder better.  I used the shimmery white paper as it gives a beautiful subtle shimmer and I felt that it was just the right amount of shimmer for this card.

As always, thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  Your visits are always appreciated.  If you have any questions on the card, or any other projects you see on this site – or SU products, just send me an email, or leave a comment.

Blessings

  1. Loved this layout. I tried it in both Night of Navy” and “Not Quit Navy” and it looked fabulous. You know how I love the navy-so rich!
