Hi Everyone.
A quick post for you tonight…. Lou and I have been very busy and it has been pretty impossible for me to get to my blog, but I did want to send you all a little sunshine tonight. I don't know about your neck of the woods but Minnesota has certainly got its fair share of rain…. but nothing like poor Colleen has been experiencing down in Texas… along with the baseball size hail and….. earthquakes! Colleen, glad that you are alright and that you received little damage.
One of the things I have challenged myself to do this year is use up all of the bits and bobs from the various card kits that I have in my stash… whether they are from Stampin' Up! kits that I bought, from Paper Pumpkin or Simon Says Stamp. I end up making one or two cards and then the rest of the goodies sit in my stash waiting for that "right" moment. As I needed some cards for the Splitcoaststampers cards for a cause, I pulled out my kits and got to work.
I found this fabulous background DSP in an old SimonSaysStamp kit and realized it was perfect with the new Sunshine stamp set I got from WPlus9. I added a little SU gold glimmer paper and some sequins and my card was ready to go.
Here's my card:
I also wanted to share this photo with you…. I have a new camera and am playing around with it – it has a much greater zoom than my old camera and is much better in low light. When I was playing around I caught this shot of one of my favorite birds
Isn't he just beautiful? I love to watch him fly from the safety of the cedar's that we planted onto the feeder. His incredible red feathers bring sunshine to my day!
I'll be back on Saturday with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Gorgeous shot, Jaydee. I never see a cardinal without remembering my dad. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Super cheerful card! Needed that after the gloom today! Also, your shot of the cardinal is wonderful. Love seeing your pictures. Sending smiles and hugs your way, Jaydee.
P.S. Note my new email address. 🙂
Love the cardinal picture. I have a mama Cardinal that built a nest in a wreath I have hanging by my front door with 3 eggs in it. Hopefully there will be new babies next week some time. I love reading your blog and enjoy all of your nature pictures.
Your card sure brightened up my day. What a ray of sunshine. It has been nothing but raining here. Received 5 1/2 inches in April and so far for the month of May we have gotten over 4 inches and no sign of it stopping any day soon.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card as well as the great cardinal shot. I enjoy seeing them at our feeders as well.
Have a wonderful and enjoyable weekend.
I really enjoyed your card. It is ashame all people can’t come together as well as your different company card.
Your camera is wonderful, what a lovely picture of Mr. Cardinal.
God’s blessing to you and Lou.
Very happy and sunny card, sure to bring a smile to someone’s face as does your terrific shot of the cardinal, he’s gorgeous love those colors!
