Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday night. I hope you are all have a great week.
You might remember a few weeks ago, I offered up blog candy to celebrate a major milestone on my blog. Now, I know if you are the great Ann Schach – you get this number of comments in a week 🙂 – but it's taken me a little longer to get there. I am about to reach the milestone of 5,000 comments on my blog. Now. I can tell you I have read every single one of them, appreciate every single one of them, and felt a little more connected to each of you who comment, every time you do.
I know it may seem a small thing, but the comments you make actually shape what you see on this blog. Lou also reads every single comment, every single day, even when he is on the road.
So… I have a little blog candy for the person who posts the 5,000 comment. Here's what you will win if you are the 5,000 person to comment.
- In Wilderness Stamp Set (to see my In Wilderness cards click here. I love this set – but obviously don't ink it up enough. If you are the winner and you don't want the In Wilderness set, then you can choose from either Punch Bunch, It's the Thought or Silhouette Sentiments. So, there must be one set you would like 🙂
- 1 brand new package of Elegant Soiree DSP
- 1 brand new package of In Color Designer Series Patterns Pack DSP
- 1 container Champagne Glass Stampin' Glitter
So, 1 new stamp set, 1 package of Elegant Soiree DSP, 1 container Champagne Glass Stampin' Glitter and 1 pack of In Color DSP can be yours for doing nothing that what you already do….. leaving me a comment. Even if you have these goodies – and are the lucky recipient – you could always use them to make card for the troops – except the glitter that is!!!! :-)
I will do a daily countdown to let you know how close we are! It's just my way of trying to say thank you to those of you who comment. Whether it's regularly, or occasionally, I appreciate it greatly!
And… tonight's card is one that I made for a cleanandsimplestamping challenge
I used the stamp once and then stamped the flowers again on a piece of scrap paper. I then colored those and adhered them over the top of the original stamped image.
I love the bright and cheerful colors, with the restful vase of flowers. I know that Rach will enjoy the color. Talking of Rach… if you haven't read this post – you should. It made my heart sing! I promise you, click on the link, it will make your day!
Prayers tonight for those of you who need a little lift or a warm hug.
Hugs
Jaydee

5,000 comments!!! Oh my……All I can say is WOW! But you’ve deserved each and every one of them on all your wonderful creations!
I popped over and read the link from Rach’s blog! That just looked so inviting!

5,000 comments is an amazing following….of course with work as beautiful as your’s, it’s no wonder! Another beautiful work tonight.
I can’t believe I like the orange and red together(or is it Poppy Parade?) as much as I do, but you’re right, it’s the restfulness induced by the fabulous jar of flowers (and your gorgeous coloring) that makes it work! I can’t believe your husband reads all of the comments on your blog! He must be a very supportive husband.
Jaydee, you are truly a delight! I look forward to and enjoy your blog each and every day. It’s so much fun sharing stories with you. (Not everyone in my life is as wild about birds as you–big understatement!) And I must thank you for introducing me to Rach’s blog. I’ve been lurking over there for quite a while now. I so appreciated her posts yesterday and today that it actually inspired me to delurk and say hi to her.
Congratulations on being so close to your big milestone!
Oh how I love this one. That image is beautiful. Love your bright colors.
You know you can really make some jealous. Yes, that is me! You make such beautiful cards and can do in just minutes. Then I am sitting here thinking, I want that stamp set and never really looked at it before. I love the card and the colors. Lou is very lucky, as I can say that for you too. : ) Thanks for all that you do for all of us.
Read the article from Rach’s blog. Thanks for the extra lift yesterday Jaydee. I truly appreciate you going beyond and the extra mile for me. Have a great day!
Good morning, Jaydee
i have been subscribing to your webpage for many months now. I became a stampin up consultant last November, so I feel like a sponge with all the wonderful ideas.
You are one of my favorites. I like your style and have used many of your ideas in my workshops. I too, love the florets and ordered the Spanish butterfly/tulip stamp because you have used it a lot. Love it
Keep up the good work

I am just loving what you are doing with this stamp set. Your colors are wonderful together. You have really encouraged me to use my Copics Thanks!
Now this is one cheerful card! The colors are perfect for the stamp set.
We have been working very hard to get my late mother in law’s home ready to put on the market and I am just so anxious to be able to have some time to myself to stamp!! I have a lot of ideas floating around in my head once I get the time-thanks to you!
Great watercoloring!
5000 comments? That’s AWESOME!!! :o) But, as so many others have said, you and your beautiful cards and your sharing bits and pieces of yourself with us has inspired us. :o)
And, Hi Lou! :o)
You are absolutely right, I LOVE the Poppy Parade. It’s such an intense color and I find it difficult to work with. Isn’t that funny? I mean, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler are also in that family, but the intensity just isn’t there.
You toned it down beautifully with the Peach Parfait and Pear Pizazz, and well, of course, the image. You are the coloring and snipping MASTER. I simply adore this image and keep wanting to purchase it, but hold myself back because I have so many stamps I haven’t yet used and I MUST use them first. ;o)
I’m tickled Lil’s joy could bring you such pleasure–she is a sweetheart, and that romp was such fun to witness. It brought joy and happiness to me, that’s for sure. :o)
Hugs and prayers to all in need.
Congrats on being so close to 5000 comments! I’m bummed that I’ll be up North next week with no computer access- I’ll have to wait to read about the celebration. I’m so very thankful that you take the time to share your fur family, your travels, garden, everyday life and most importantly your talent with us. Please know that even though I don’t get time to comment everyday I do check in at least once a day (sometimes even 3 or 4 times shhh, don’t tell anyone). Getting my Jaydee fix has become as important to my mornings as coffee and running! 🙂 Thank you my friend.
I love this stamp set and you certainly did it proud. Love you blog. Keep the ideas coming.
You know, I have never liked orange, but your use of this peachy orange is beautiful. I will have to try it. Thanks for the inspiration. Love the look at Rach’s flowers and of your garden recently too!
Beautiful card, Jaydee! I am one of the guilty ones who reads your blog daily (love it!!) but seldom leaves comments. I will try to do better so you keep on posting. Thanks!!
read your blog every day,you do beautiful work,I do occationally case your work especially when one is spectacular. Thank you for your great ideas. Margaret
Another beautiful card! I read your blog daily and have appreciated your teaching videos but I rarely comment. However I really like your style. I don’t have great fine motor skills and need help with design so I’m not an accomplished card maker. When I’m up for the challenge this is a blog I turn to for ideas.
Your post is great! I also love the orange and red together. Great look.
Beautiful card, as is all of your work!
Just beautiful!
Love your creativity…and your blog candy offering is very generous!
Love your blog. Read it every day looking for
new ideas and insights. Thanks for sharing
your great ideas
This is a great card, Jaydee! I always look forward to seeing what you have posted. : )
What a pretty card Jaydee! I have to say that I’ve had some of this poppy parade in my stash and never used it, not knowing what to do with it really. I love the color of your flowers and how they tone down this bright poppy color.
I read Rach’s post and had to think about it for the day. I had grass cutting duty and my kids were so bored so while I was finishing up, I thought about her sprinkler. I told my kids to grab their bikes and bring them to our backyard and to grab their swim suits. They were so excited once I got out our hose. I told them to wash up their bikes and then the sprinkler was coming on. I’ve never seen bigger smiles and giggles from both. Thanks Rach for making me think about the little things even when my chore list is long!
Love the simple card!! Love walking in a summer rain–hmm never tried the sprinkler–that water is COLD!!! Think I’ll stick with the rain!
Beautiful CAS card!! love the colors!
Susan
Jaydee, this is just lovely! The more I see this set used, the more I think I would like to add it to my collection. It is perfect for watercoloring and I love how you used it on your card. I just got back from travel so I’m catching up on all of my blogs that I missed over the past week. BTW, I have decided to order the medallio stamp set so thanks for enabling me. 🙂
