Share a Milkshake for Paper Players #652

Happy Saturday

It’s the fabulous Ann’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it’s theme week!  You can also think of this as day 3 of my cards for Share a Milkshake from Stampin’ Up! 🙂  I’ve completely fallen in love with this set, even though I didn’t think I would really use it!

Also, I have to blame SU for my recent obsession with pink.  Bubblebath Pink is my favorite pink that SU has ever come out with and I think it’s one of the nicest pinks on the market today.  I love thst it’s a cold-blue tinted pink.  So, as you can see, my card tonight features this pink!

Here’s Ann’s theme:

So, you have heard from me once this last week that summertime and ice cream are a wonderful childhood memory for me.  So, I couldn’t help myself and had to create another ice cream/milk shake card!

I stamped and die cut the images and then blended the die-cuts with ink to give them more dimension.  I used some DSP from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP pack for a little more pink – oh and texture 🙂

Here’s my card:

I decided to go with a grey sentiment instead of the black as I wanted something a little softer.  I carried the grey through with some silver splatters along with some pink and kraft ones.

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week.  We would love to see your take on Ann’s theme.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Jaydee, this is just perfect for my summer challenge! Your treats are so realistic and look delicious. I love the splattered background and all the fun details!!!! You certainly rocked my challenge this week!

  2. Jaydee, I also love this pink. Your card is so “sweet”.I like the blending and splatters, and the hearts add that extra something. Ice cream treats are a part of my summer for sure.

  3. Your card is so yummy, Jaydee…both in terms of the images and the colors. You have done awesome things with this set. I have a friend who loves ice cream AND the color pink. I may just have to CASE this cute card!

  4. I am right with you on Bubble Bath pink Jaydee – I saw it and was like ‘where have you been all my crafting life?!’ lol. This card showcases it in all its glory – ice cream and milkshake, a heavenly summer combination! I love the detail on the diecuts and the striped panel behind is perfect. This card is the sweetest!

  5. Bubble Bath IS a wonderful pink and you showcased it beautifully on your card, Jaydee! This is one of my favorite stamp sets and s perfect for Claire’s challenge this week!
