Snowflakes Sparkle and treetops glisten…. Belated Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone.

A belated Merry Christmas to all of you.  I hope you had a wonderful time.  This post will be my last Christmas card for 2014 and I wanted to end my Christmas cards with a little bling and shimmer and snowflakes seemed to be the perfect way to incorporate that 🙂

I was also inspired to create a shaped card using some new dies that I purchased from Simon Says stamp with a postmark edge and some new snowflake dies, too.

Here's my card:

Snowflakes sparkle (1 of 1)

The snowflake sentiment from an old Papertrey Ink set – In the Meadow – was perfect for the sparkly snowflakes :-)  Isn't that postmark edging pretty?  It's very different for me – but I really do like it!

On a personal note:

Well, this week has been a very busy week for Lou and I and I haven't been anywhere near my craft room and am definitely having withdrawal symptoms!  I really do like to be able to just switch myself off and focus on nothing other than creating.

DId you all read Colleen's Texas Christmas message?  If you didn't you should check out this post.  It's perfect!

I'll be back in a couple of days with another card – but wanted to leave you with a wildlife shot.

Basking in the sun (1 of 1)

I loved the deer resting in the woodland – I never get tired of watching them and am always so pleased when they choose to grace us with their presence.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight – especially at this time of the year.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. What a Beautiful card to end 2014.
Such a lovely photo of the deer in the snow.
Have you ever found any antlers laying around in your woodlands? The bucks will be shedding them before long. Norm between January and April, depending upon many factors including the animal’s age and the latitude at which it lives.
Jaydee; I would like to wish you and Lou and everyone else a Very Happy and Healthy New Years for 2015.
    Happy New Year Wish
My Happy New Year wish for you
Is for your best year yet,
A year where life is peaceful,
And what you want, you get.
A year in which you cherish
    The past year’s memories,
And live your life each new day,
    Full of bright expectancies.
I wish for you a holiday
    With happiness galore;
And when it’s done, I wish you
Happy New Year, and many more.
(have no idea who wrote the poem)
Have a wonderful and enjoyable day and a nice cozy evening

  2. Merry (much belated) Christmas! Shimmery snowflakes?? Yes, please! :oD
Love the deer. I hope you and Lou have had a chance to sit and simply *be*.
Colleen, love the New Year’s poem! :o)
Hugs and Happy New Year (a bit early!).
P.S. Hi Lou! I hope you’re catching a breather right now!
