Spellbinders Dancin’ Figgy Pudding for Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #753

Happy Saturday.

I have a quick post for you today featuring one of my favorite Christmas dies. The totally fun and kinetic Spellbinders Dancin’ Figgy Pudding. I thought she was perfect for the sketch across at Freshly Made this week.

Here’s the sketch:

Once I had chosen my focal point I realized I needed something for the middle panel. I looked through my goodies and found the Confection Companions embossing folder from SPB. I thought all the baking elements were perfect as a background for Figgy. I then had to find a sentiment. I found the perfect one in the Waffle Flower Elegant Christmas sentiments. I have to confess to being a lover of some of the Hallmark Christmas movies and at least one or two of them each year will having a baking scene, hence the sentiment I chose; “tis the season”!

Here’s a sneak peek of my card:

I began by die-cutting all the elements and then addins some shading with ink. I put all the elements together and added some stickles to the edge of the icing to give a little shimmer and shine.

I added a circle foam dot behind Figgy’s legs so that they could move side-to-side freely. She’s absolutely adorable!

Here’s my full card:

I’ll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Dies: Dancin’ Figgy Pudding – Spellbinders
  • Embossing Folder: Confection Companions – Spellbinders
  • Sentiment: Elegant Christmas – Waffle Flower

Hugs
