Spellbinders Jump for Joy for Paper Players Challenge #751

Happy Sunday.

It’s the fabulous Elizabeth’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it’s clean and simple week. This challenge was a perfect excuse to bring out my Jump for Joy dies from Spellbinders.

Here’s a sneak peek of my card:

Let’s see – a black-eyed Susan, a toadstool and what could that little green thing be in the bottom left corner? Well, he’s the element that fulfills this challenge.

Here’s our challenge badge:

I have so many “critter” stamps and dies that I wasn’t quite sure where to go initially, but as I was making cards for kids at the time, I decided a fun frog would be perfect.

I die-cut all the elements using white cardstock and color blended and assembled them. I then stamped a background to ground my little scene and added a sentiment. I then adhered the elements and my card was complete.

Here’s the full card:

Isn’t he adorable and I love the sentiment! As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

Now, it’s over to you. We can’t wait to see what critters you create for us to appreciate!

On a personal note:

Well, my new blog is up and running and the old one has been archived. I still have work to do to get photos across for the old posts and I still seem to be having some problems with the feedblitz subscription that I am trying to work out. Issues aside, I really do love the new look and feel and am now playing around with photographic styles. I’ve managed to set up a small portable hand-made portable photo-studio. I went looking on-line for one and they cost $500! Err… no… sorry, that’s a bit steep for my taste. One of the good things about my craft room is that it gets plenty of sunlight, which makes taking the photos much easier – unless it’s a dull day, of course!

It’s hard to believe that we closed on our new home one week and one year ago. We have now completed a full year of seasons and love living here. We have certainly enjoyed our mamalian and avian visitors and we were rewarded today to see a monarch butterfly feeding on the newly planted butterfly weed!

Anyway, I will be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

  1. Oh my! What a sweetheart of a scene! The way you’ve coloured the die cuts is fabulous as they just pop with life. The stamped background to ground it all is perfect and I think that the little die cut it all sits on is just the right finishing touch. 🙂

  2. What an adorable frog! I love his eyes. The toadstool provides the perfect place for him to sit under for a spell. The colors are so vibrant. Time passes quickly…it certainly doesn’t seem like you have been in your home for a year. I love the blog refresh! Awesome! Enjoy the rest of your week…

  3. This is such a darling card, Jaydee! That frog couldn’t be any cuter and the sentiment is really sweet for a youngster. The whole scene you created looks fantastic!

It’s amazing to think it was a year ago that you moved into your new home and made all the changes/updates to reflect your personal tastes. I’m happy for you and Lou!
