Happy Sunday.
It’s the fabulous Joanne’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it’s sketch week. I have absolutely no idea why I decided to use the fancy heart die from Endless Love for this card and with patterned paper. So unlike me…. oh… and yeah… it’s pink! Those of you who have followed me for a while know that pink isn’t usually my color. I don’t know…. maybe it’s the heat 🙂
Mind you, I do love this fancy heart! Here’s a sneak peek:

And here’s Joanne’s sketch:

I used an old SU embossing folder to create some texture in the background. I then dug up this very old piece of patterned paper – and I cannot even remember which SU set it came from!
I then die-cut a full heart die from vellum and then the fancy heart was die-cut with pink card stock. I adhered everything to the base and then added a sentiment from The Ton Easy Expression stamp and die set.
Here’s my full card:

It’s a great sketch and I cannot wait to see what YOU do with it. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
I’ll be back with another card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Pretty in pink, Jaydee! That sketchy heart die is so cute and I do like the patterned paper you used, very pretty! That embossed background adds so much fun texture. Great use of the sketch. Have a wonderful week!
I am glad you embraced the pink, Jaydee! This is such a lovely card—I totally do NOT remember that DSP but it certainly is very pretty! I think the heart works perfectly with it, as does that background embossing!
I love the colours in this paper – not usually colours I gravitate to – but they look so good together. I like the textured border and that heart is a scene-stealer. There’s a real elegance in the composition. Lovely use of the sketch. 🙂
Your card gives me the vintage/romantic feels, maybe the pink, maybe the pp but I know it’s absolutely beautiful !
What a beautiful card, Jaydee! Joanne’s lovely sketch works great for showing off this gorgeous designer series paper. The die cut heart coordinates so well with the paper. It’s the perfect way to accent the sentiment. I love the romantic, feminine feel of this card. Stay cool this week!
Jaydee, this is GORGEOUS! I absolutely LOVE that floral DSP. I do like pink and this will make someone so happy to receive. The embossed background looks like a border for your floral panel. Such a feminine, romantic card. AMAZING, MY Friend!
What a lovely showcase of this pretty floral paper against the background embossing Jaydee – and the scripty heart is the perfect finish to your pretty in pink’ card too!
The mind works in mysterious ways, but fortunately for you, it results in fabulous creations, Jaydee! With such pretty dsp, the hearts seem perfectly appropriate. And, I have noticed you using pink more recently. Maybe your aversion is waning? Nevertheless, it’s a fabulous color for your gorgeous card.
