Sunshine & Sprinkles redux for addicted to CAS

Hi Everyone.  Happy Friday.  YES!  It's Friday.  Finally!

Quick post for you tonight.

Here's another friend card.  I promise you it's the last one for a while.  But, don't we all have friends that we really should celebrate more often?

Addicted to CAS is still having their friend challenge, so I thought I would play along again.

I used the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP -again!   This time I paired it with another fabulous sentiment from the MFT Umbrella stamp set and reused a sketch from my card on Thursday.

Isn't that sentiment just perfect with the DSP?   I also love the umbrella layer against the cloud layer.   I've really had fun with this DSP!

I used Pacific Point and Marina Mist card stock and a Marina Mist button sewn onto the sentiment layer with white Baker's Twine.  The sentiment was wet embossed using versamark and white embossing powder.

Don't forget to pop along to addicted to CAS and play along.  You have another week to join their challenge.

On a personal note:

Well.  It snowed.  Yep.  In fact, it's been snowing on and off since Wednesday.  We were lucky that the temps got warmer on Wednesday overnight, so the totals were less than originally expected.  But, we still ended up having about 6 inches.  Our garden, and the wetland are once again blanketed in snow.  Just when we thought it was nearly all melted.   Mind you, our area is under a severe drought, so, we should welcome the moisture.  However, I'm not sure our spring arriving avian friends are too happy 🙂

I shall be relaxing in front of the TV tonight watching Fashion Star.   Lou is off to have dinner with a friend.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.   In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. another beautiful card.
Unbelieavable that you’re getting snow; but then anything is possible. Born and raised in Iowa, I do remember having blizzards in April and I don’t miss it one little bit.
You have snowcovered ground and I have roses and irises blooming and have also been mowing the yard.
    Enjoy your weekend Jaydee

  2. Gorgeous card, Jaydee! Love all the pretty umbrellas and the wonderful sentiment. Thank you for joining us at ATCAS.

  3. Even with the clouds and umbrellas, you made this such a “sunny” card. Love it!

  4. I like your card too, Jaydee! Very pretty colors and I love the umbrellas!
We have snow too. A lot of snow. Way too much snow. And, it continues to snow as I write to you. I’m not sure spring will arrive this year.
But, on the bright side, I am having a stampin’ up party on Thursday and I am definitely looking forward to that! Fun, fun, fun!
Looking forward to your next post!
    Hugs,
    Tracy

  5. Amazing comfort for me today. My 24 year old tried to commit suicide and shot himself this week and we have been living at the hospital with hope. But my friends have truly been my umbrella! Thanks I needed the thought today.

  6. Beverlee,
You, your son, and your family are in my prayers.
    Keep hanging in there.

  7. Hey Jaydee! I am away at a crop in New Hampshire this weekend and we had a nice little ice/snow storm here yesterday. Sure was pretty, but I am happy to say that all traces of it are gone today.
Your card is simply wonderful. I do love the sentiment and will have to remember it!

  8. I absolutely love your umbrella theme! The bright colors are great, especially since you are stuck with snow. lol Hope your spring gets here soon! Thanks for playing at ATCAS this week. 🙂
