Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday and welcome to another technique video tutorial.
I know that many of you are experienced stampers, but there are others who are not as experienced. I remember the first time I had to emboss…. I was terrified. I really didn't know what I was doing. In the interim years, I have learned a lot about embossing – what works… oh yeah…. and what goes wrong! Lots of trial before I got the technique and the tricks that work for me.
Several of you have commented on how clean my embossed area is… I rarely get any residual powder on my card, where it isn't wanted. Consequently, I created this video for those of you who are at the stage that I was… where a little helping hand might come in… .well… handy!
All you need to do, is click on the stage set below.
If you can't view the video, I will be checking in Apple next week to find out what the restriction with is Internet Explorer. I can view it on IE, Mozilla and Safari and I've checked on Lou's PC and my work PC and it works for me. So there's obviously some nuance to the accepted browsers that I am not aware of. Hopefully Apple will be able to help me.
On a personal note… Lou and I are really enjoying our time just chilling, relaxing, reading, listening to music. I can honestly say that we are now very relaxed. We still have a few more days, and I am now off to make the most of those days!
As always, prayers today for those who need them – or who need a little lift.
Have a fabulous Wednesday everyone.
Hugs
Jaydee

Good Morning Jaydee . . . glad to hear from you again. Well for some reason the above website is not coming up. It says *Internet Expl cannot open website* BUT then again, I haven’t been able to watch any of your videos.
Have a great day lady.
Hi Jaydee! I agree with Beverly! I haven’t gotten to watch any either! I wish I could! Glad to hear you & Lou are having good quality time together!
Hugs & prayers to all who are in need!
I can watch all of your videos but this one says the same thing Beverly said. Sorry.
Hey guys, I finally managed to get logged on. I updated the post with the fact that I will check in with Apple next week.
Hugs

Jaydee, I was happy to be able to watch your video tonight! I use the Tack Cloth too, but it’s called Glitter Cloth and you’re right – much more expensive!
I have a piece of cardboard that I have covered with aluminum foil and I heat-emboss on that. The foil reflects the heat, and it does both sides at once and I don’t have to hold it because I have a clothepin to hold my piece of cardstock to the foil-covered cardboard.
I LOVE watching you stamp, emboss, do anything!
Hugs,
Soozie
What a great video. I loved your idea to work from the back to the front. I’m going to try it next time. I never use the tray figuring that it is just one more thing to clean up. A piece of paper works fine and then you throw it away!
Actually I was amazed by your Versamark stamp. It was soo beautiful. I have forgotten how lovely they are hen they are new. Think it is time for a treat for me!
Jaydee, the tack cloth is BRILLIANT! Thank you for the most excellent tip! :o)
I’m so happy you and Lou are continuing to have a wonderful time. :o)
Hi Jaydee, I am glad to watch the embossing 101 video. I have been using disposable plate as my tray. YIKE. Yes, the thought of cleaning up afterward just made me stop using embossing all together. And to see all the things you have (the tack cloth, embossing buddy, etc) no wonder your embossed image always looks so clean and crisp. And the versa mark, so new and juicy. Guess it’s time for me to buy a new one and other things too. Thank you again for video taping. Yes, you are a little neat “fright” if I may say so…:-) Hugs.
Hi Jaydee
Many thanks for the tutorial (I am playing catch up on your blog today, have had a week where there was very little time for the computer!).
I have never heard of a tack cloth but seeing some of the comments re. this tutorial I note that it is also called a glitter cloth. I will have to go to Bunnings and see if they know what I mean when I ask for a tack cloth, otherwise I will have to pay a dearer price at an online store! It looks like a must have to me!
I also swear by the embossing buddy but had never thought to use it on the embossing tray, so thankyou for that tip!
I must also try your technique of warming up the cardstock from behind, I am sure that would stop the cardstock from curling somewhat after using the heat gun.
The anti static cloth, is that similiar to a clothes dryer cloth?
