Thank Ewe for Paper Players #473

HI Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week – and it's color week:

So, I have to admit… Poppy Parade… is way too out there for me – and I'm not a huge fan of Rich Razzleberry.  So, this was one of those challenges where I could choose to embrace the colors, or use them and not *feature* them.  I choose the latter option… because I am a chicken! 🙂  For some reason, I am just not a strong colors person!

I used a stamp set that I bought over Christmas from LDRS called Thank Ewe!  I love the little sheep that come with the set and elected to use the Razzleberry and Poppy Parade in the flowers.

Here's a closeup:

I really love the fun images and you can see the Razzleberry, Poppy Parade and Old Olive. My neutral was black!

Here's my full card:

I really love these sweet little sheep and had great fun creating this scene.  This card is another one going to SendASmile4Kids!

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  We can't wait to see what YOU do with these colors.

In the meantime, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

I thought I was going to get more time to blog this week, but the work week just got away from me!  However, I did get some time to play in my craft room today – and that meant spending time with some new SU goodies that I received yesterday!

I know I have shared a photo of our Possum visitor with you, but I couldn't help sharing another one.  I mean, who couldn't look at this cute little face and say "aaaawww!"  :-)

Seriously, this is the cutest little face and I love the little pink tips to the top of the ears:

And you can just see the pink little paws in the center of the photo.  Cute.  Cute.  Cute!:-)

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. This is such a happy card, Jaydee! The sass on that third sheep’s little face just makes me smile. You can never go wrong with a “punny” sentiment either. Your little possum visitor is SO sweet. Look at that face! I always love seeing all of the wildlife that stops by your home. Have a wonderful Sunday, my friend. Hugs!

  2. Yeah, I felt a little wobbly on these colors too but you figured out a perfect way to use just a wee little bit and created an adorable card to boot!

  3. I think these sheep are the most adorable I’ve seen and the punny sentiment made me giggle. Your design is so perfect for colors you find hard to work with, lots of white and a teeny touch of color hee hee! Love this card, Jaydee!

  4. Ok, Jaydee, these are the cutest sheep ever! I love the way you were able to sneak the colors in with all the white space. GENIUS! I Love bold colors, so I could never pull this off. The sentiment makes me smile and I love the spunk in that third little guy! As for opossum—–I am scared to death of them. He is cute from a distance. LOL! Have a wonderful week, My Friend!

  5. Love these fun sheep Jaydee and I’m always up for a punny sentiment! I’m thinking we all need a stamp set like this too for times when we are challenged to use colours that we don’t like! As for the possum – isn’t he just the cutest?!
