Hi Everyone.
Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week – and it is such a fun challenge!
I absolutely HAD to pull out a stamp set that I bought and hadn't inked up yet. Merekat's are some of my most favorite African animals. I have spent hours and hours out in the veld watching them go about their business. They really do make wonderful lookouts and work co-operatively to keep them all safe. Did you know that a merekat can spot an eagle 1,000 feet away?! So, it's no surprise that I bought this set – I just wish SU had made a sentiment with the name of the set!
As I have often watched them in the late afternoon as the sun was setting, I absolutely had to pair them with an old die from Hero Arts. Here's my card:
You can see that I roughly colored their bodies – I wanted to maintain some sort of texture for their fur! Aren't they they cutest?
I hope you will join us and play along this week. We would love to see what you create using this theme. As usual, the design them have some fabulous inspiration cards for you:
On a personal note:
No time in the stamping cave today! My mojo really just wasn't there. I'm hoping it is back tomorrow as I have so many cards that I need to make. Talking about sunsets – we had a doozie two night's ago.
It started off with the sun setting over the trees on the north side of the wetland:
About 10 minutes later – the trees on the west side had started to glow
A few minutes later, the sun was setting and the skyline was the most amazing color:
Awesome… truly awesome!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Super cute card, the die is the perfect backdrop! Love the sunsets!
I adore those meerkats so I was happy to see their cute little faces on your card, Jaydee. And paired with that beautiful sunset die, I almost felt transported to the veld. I never miss a chance to watch a nature show if it features meerkats and I think it’s awesome that you were able to see them in their habitat when you lived near them.
Thanks for sharing those beautiful sunset pictures, they are definitely inspiration worthy for a sunset card!
This card is adorable Jaydee – I love to watch the meerkats at the zoo, they are so entertaining! Fabulous pairing with the sunset die and sentiment. Awesome sunset photos too – you really do live in a beautiful part of the world!
