The Greetery Lovely Silhouette for Addicted to CAS Challenge #303

Happy Saturday.

It’s the fabulous Helen’s turn to host our Addicted to CAS Challenge this week. She has a code word for us that is perfect for Spring – GARDEN. I brought out a very old set from The Greetery called Lovely Silhouette to use for my focal image and a new set from The Ton called Fill it In for the sentiment.

Here’s a sneak peek:

I wanted to create some texture in the background but didn’t want to use a stencil, embossing folder or coverplate. Instead I used my bone folder to create horizontal lines. I added 3 vertical lines to separate the sentiment from the focal layer.

Here’s Helen’s code word for our challenge this week:

I stamped and die-cut the flowers from the Lovely Silhouettes stamp set and set them aside. I then added the “happy” sentiment, plus the “fill in” birthday in a color to match the florals.

I then added the vertical and horizontal lines and adhered the florals to the card.

Here’s my full card:

I hope you will join us and play along with our theme this week. We would love to see how YOU are inspired by the GARDEN theme.

I’ll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Sentiment: Fill it It – The Ton
  • Florals: Lovely Silhouettes – The Greetery

Hugs
