Pinkfresh Studio Magnificent Magnolia for Time Out Challenge #308

Happy Thursday.

Today we are celebrating a birthday at Time Out – 12 years. I am thrilled, and honored, to be a part of this birthday celebration. I bet Nonni and Sandi didn’t think about their challenge site still going strong 12 years after they first started it! To celebrate our birthday, we are joined by our extremely talented and inspiring Guest Designer, Stef Perry of Perry Papercrafts. Stef is our muse for this challenge and I was in awe of her gorgeous floral. I hope you will pop by her blog and leave her some love. We are also sponsored this week by Waffle Flower and the prize is a $25 gift certificate for the person chosen as our entry winner for this challenge.

If that wasn’t enough, we are joined by the immensely talented Verena Shapiro as our Guest Designer this week. You can catch her across at at Instagram where she goes by Simple Stamper. Her card for our challenge is just gorgeous.

I was inspired by Stef’s florals, so decided to follow her lead and go with florals. I was also inspired by the layout. For my card I pulled out my Pinkfresh Studio Magnificent Magnolia stamp and die sets.

Here’s a sneak peek of my card:

And here is muse’s beautiful card:

As the Magnolia’s are wide, I decided to go with a landscape card. For some reason, and I have absolutely NO IDEA why, I am obsessed with peaches and pinks right now. These are colors I never go for generally, so I think there must be something in the drinking water!

I stamped the image with versamark and heat set with gold embossing powder. I then used the matching stencils to color the image and die-cut with the matching dies.

I added a sentiment from The Ton called Easy Expressions and then popped up the focal image with foam dots. I cut the panel down at the top and bottom so that it would leave a touch of peach showing at the top and bottom, just as Stef did in her card.

Here’s my full card:

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge. We would love to see how YOU are inspired by Stef’s fabulous card.

As a reminder, we have a $25 gift certificate from Waffle Flower for our winner.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Stamps, Dies, Stencils: Magnificent Magnolia – Pinkfresh Studio
  • Sentiment: Easy Expressions – The Ton
