Happy Tuesday. I hope you are all having a great start to your week!
I did manage to get to spend a little time in my stamping space this weekend. Lou made a quick stop home between leaving China and going to Pittsburg, which meant I was free to have a little play time and I really tried to make the most of it. 🙂
I saw that Simonsaysstamp has a BLING IT ON challenge. Now….. seriously! I think that challenge is certainly right up my alley!
When bling is required, there is no better way to participate than with Stampin' Up! glimmer paper. I absolutely love the stuff – and I paired it with a Taylored Expressions birch die that I bought last year and finished it off with a die cut deer from Tim Holtz. Of course, because it is a Christmas card, the deer had to be turned into a reindeer.
Of course, I can hear all you die-hards saying…where are Rudolph's antlers? Well, as we now know, it's only the female reindeer who have antlers at this time of the year – so Rudolph, has a red nose – but no antlers :-)
Here's my BLING IT ON card 🙂
I don't know if you can see it, but I used the retired SU Canvas stamp and some versamark ink to add texture to Rudolph's coat. Just a little added interest. I used an SU basic rhinestone for the red nose and colored it with a red sharpie pen. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and it seemed to be just perfect.

On a personal note:
I really cannot – absolutely cannot f- athom the events in Pakistan today. I just can't. To actively target children for wholesale slaughter is barbaric. No words or sentiments that I can think of can adequately express how I feel. My heart, my thoughts and my prayers go out to the parents of those children. It is totally beyond comprehension.
I will be back tomorrow with another project that I made using some of my new SU occasions catalog goodies. In the meantime, I will leave you with a couple of really bad photos of our visitors!
The deer and turkey continue to be regular visitors and they really like this space above Georgina's den!
On cold days, these guys have found the perfect place to hang out – the heated water bowl! They look just like the rocks in the bowl 🙂

Glimmer paper is my FAVORITE!!!! Sure, there’s glittery paper for sale in craft stores, but it doesn’t compare to the SU! glimmer paper. I love Rudolph’s red nose and the sentiment and really, the entire card. It’s delightful!
I’m sorry Lou has had to travel so much of late. What a bummer. :o( And, Pakistan…I can’t go there. I’m just so devastated for everyone. :o(
