Happy Friday.
It’s another challenge across at FestiveFriday this week and we are celebrating National Chess Day. Who knew there was such a thing. Now, I do play chess, but must admit I haven’t played in years as I just don’t have the patience for it! :-). So, I think you can guess that my card does not include chess pieces :-). Instead, I used the Waffle Flower Open Book set again and paired it with the Stencil set called Dragon Castle – also from Waffle Flower.

And here is our INSPO list for this week. As a reminder, sticking with the celebration theme isn’t required. All you need to do is include at least 3 items from our INSPO list in your creation.
For my card I went with black, castle, encouraging sentiment. I began by die-cutting the Open Book and then used my Dragon Castle stencils to create the scene. The sentiment is from the Open Book sentiments. I used an old piece of Stampin’ Up! DSP for the background and popped up the book with foam.
