Hi Everyone.
Happy Saturday. I hope you all had a wonderful week!
The fabulous LeAnne has a great Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us at the Paper Players this week.

I really enjoy these particular challenges! This week I went horizontally across the top. Blue, birthday and birds. The choice of stamp was a no-brainer for me – Wetlands. This has really become one of my favorite SU sets.
I stamped the bird image onto Whisper White card stock and then colored it with 3 different blue Copic markers. I was going to mount it onto a blue base, but none of the blues looked quite right, so I chose a Smoky Slate base instead. I used my Charles embossing folder with the polka dot chevrons to give some movement on the Smoky Slate layer. I like the simplicity of the card, with just the pop of blue. The sentiment is perfect, too!
Here's my card:
We'd love you to play along with us again this week. Our design team has some fabulous inspiration for you. Pop along to their blogs and check out what they have in store:
I promise you that there is lots of fabulous inspiration from our design team this week. Then, pop along to The Paper Players and play along with us.
On a personal note:
Each day this week, I have gotten a little stronger. My appetite is nowhere near back to mormal yet – which is very unusual for me! Also, I am very tired still and have taken the next week off to spend some time just relaxing and recuperating.
I do want to say a very sincere thank you to all of you who left messages and sent emails to me this week. I really appreciated each and every one of them, and they really did help me to feel a little better this week. Bless all of you for taking the time and for making me feel better!
This week, our landscaper came in and started to make some changes to our landscape. The wetland and woodland have been scraped and tilled and all the non-native, very invasive species, have been removed. Totally native seeds for both grasses and flowers have been sown. We won't see much this year, but hopefully, next year, they should start to come in and we should be able to see the fruits of their labor. Most of the landscaping has been done around the house and it is starting to look good! I've taken some photos and will share them with you tomorrow. This week we have some trees coming in to 1) offer a respite to the birds in winter and 2) offer us some privacy from the new (very large) house going up next door! As they are conifers, they really will give the birds some much needed winter coverage. The garden still has a long way to go before it reminds us of our old one, but we hope that the mix of the native plantings will really add to the already fabulous backdrop of the wetlands!
I'm hoping to feel strong enough to get into my crafting space tomorrow. I still have some new goodies that need a little love, and I feel a need to use the Wetlands set a little more.
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday
Hugs
Jaydee

Glad to see you are getting back to your usual self, even if it is slowly. You were really sick and it is going to take time. Remember, you are staying home next week to get better not get everything done on your to due list. As usual your card is beautiful. Take care of yourself and I’ll be looking for pictures of the new landscaping.
No wonder you love the wetlands stamp! I love your wetlands. Glad you are feeling better. There was a really interesting piece on Lyme disease on NPR this past week. I didn’t realize it is almost an epidemic lately. Hope you continue to get better.
Oh, I’m SO glad to see a post from you and to hear that you’re feeling stronger.
What a lovely, simple card. Sweet little birds.
Congratulations on getting rid of the invasive species. I’m anxious to see the results of your landscaping.
Cool looking card. It’s been in the triple digits here so that little bit of water on your card sure does look refreshing.
Brings great pleasure to see that you are posting again and that you’re feeling so much better. My thoughts and prayers have been with you.
Do take care; keep cool and keep smiling

Lovely, lovely card Jaydee! Glad you are feeling a bit better, it’s so good you are able to take some time off work to recover. Take care!!
Beautiful card. Love those birds. So glad you are beginning to feel better but I am sure it will take some time. Relax and take care of yourself next week. You are a treasure!
Beautiful card. I love the stamped image!
Glad you hear you are slowly recovering. I hope this week off does you a world of good!
Gorgeous Jaydee! So peaceful and calming. I think this stamp set would make a wonderful sympathy card as well.
So glad you are feeling better. My prayers are with you. I’ll have to check out the NRP article that was mentioned. Can’t wait to see your plantings next Spring and Summer. It’s wonderful you have gotten rid of the invasive plants.
Peaceful and simple. A card that says relax! What more could anyone want. Great inspiration!
So happy to see you are still stamping, but I am GLAD that you are taking some time off! This is just lovely…I saw another card recently using these birds and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was! I just glossed over this set in the catty. Nicely done!
I love the simplicity of your card and the stamp set I will purchase.
I am so glad you are better! Lyme disease is horrible! We worry about tics and spiders, especially the one you can’t see until it’s too late. Rest, rest, rest, and please be wary when you are outside. Check your cat! I hope Lou is able to be home with you while you are supposed to rest. To do lists can wait. Can’t wait to see your pictures, but I’d rather hear you are well. Love you! Nancy B in Cincinnati
Your card is CAS perfection! And I am so glad you are on the mend! What a terrible illness!
