Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
I hope you all had a great weekend! It's a very cold winter wonderland here in Minnesota. The temps have dropped dramatically with wind chills around -34. Someone asked me today if that was centigrade or fahrenheit. Seriously, at that point does it matter? It's COLD and… so cold that it is much of a much-ness when you get to that point!
It might be cold, but it sure is pretty and I thought I would share a couple of photos I captured yesterday.
Firstly, a look at our woodland covered in snow:
We had a couple of inches of wet snow and it was clinging to the branches. My herbs weren't happy though!
Next is a photo of the quintessential winter bird and he looks so beautiful perched on our railing:
Isn't he gorgeous? He looks as though he is nesting on a cloud!
Our woodland also attracts deer who decide to take a little rest. I couldn't get onto the deck to get a decent photo of this one, so I had to take it through the deck door – and the railings of the deck. She looks as though she is behind bars!
She spent about 30 minutes just resting and then ambled off. There is something so peaceful about watching her.
Which reminded me of one of the cards I made from the Simon Says Stamp December 2015 card kit.
Looking at our woodland – and the deer – you can see how appropriate this card is for us 🙂
On a personal note:
YAY…. I am starting to get movement in my ring finger. Only about 50% – but that is 50% more than there was a week ago. My long finger is about 75% of the way there and has stopped aching as much. SO…. I am HOPING that I might be able to get into my craft room and make something this weekend. I probably won't get to do a lot of things in there – or anything particularly complicated, but I am just dying to get my hands on ink, stamps and paper! I so miss my crafting time and am desperate to get back into my craft room.

Yay! You are on the mend. So glad you are getting feeling back in your fingers. It won’t be long now and your creative juices will be flowing again. I have missed your posts. Thank you for the beautiful photos. Majestic!
Jaydee, so good to hear that you’re healing! I sure hope you get back in your craft room soon. It sounds like your really making progress! Your photos are just wonderful. The top photo looks like I can see something in the trees on the left side (about center). The cardinal is stunning! He looks so regal, like a lion in the jungle! They’re one of my favorite birds! The deer photo is so peaceful and pretty. Then your card just goes right along with that. I love the softness and the double banner. We have our first snow day today and the kids are excited to have some snow to play in! I have many birds at the feeder and taking advantage of my Christmas present from hubby, a bird bath heater to keep the water from freezing. I love it! Hope your temps rise a bit. Take care~

I enjoy your photos of the wetlands. The Cardinal is stunning, and the Deer at peace! Your card looks like one of the scenes out of your windows.

Glad your fingers are getting better! It’s so frustrating. I have had carpal tunnel in each hand (surgeries) and trigger thumbs and a ring finger trigger (3 surgeries). Now my left hand cramps so badly I have to use my right hand to pull my fingers straight, and I am left-handed! Looking forward to your cards again…my prayers are with you! Nancy B
