You are special to me

Hi everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

Sorry I was MIA last night.  I ended up taking Merlin to the vet after dropping Lou off at the airport.  The vet decided to operate this morning and remove the stone in his bladder.  I wasn't happy about surgery again so soon after the last two, but we determined that it was probably the stone that was blocking causing the blockage as it was "free floating" and that the chance of re-blockage was high.  So, I had to take poor Merlin to the vet early this morning.  He is now home and in a morphine induced paranoia….actually he has a lot to be paranoid about.  Everytime I have gone near him for the last 4 weeks I've been pushing stuff down his throat, sticking needles and fluids in him, pressing his bladder, or taking him to the vet!  We are keeping fingers crossed that this fixes the problems and that we can now go on as normal.

I do have a card for you tonight – one that I made this weekend and, once again, using my favorite SU DSP.  I really wished that this DSP showed up better on photographs.  It really is so gorgeous, especially with the gold metallic card stock.

I made this card for someone who is truly special to me.

Youarespecialtome

As always, thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  Your visits and your support do mean a great deal to me.  Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.  Have a beautiful Thursday.

Hugs

Jaydee

Pammie, special warm hugs for you, my friend.

  1. Such a beautiful card. I am a happy subscriber to your blog, but sorry to say I am not a good commentator. I really feel for your kitties, they have certainly had a rough time recently. Love the posts about your new home too. Thanks for always sharing your talents and what is in your heart.

  2. Hi Jaydee! This is a lovely card. I like the warmness of it and the pretty design. Prayers for Merlin and you. I sure hope this surgery will take care of things for a long while. Hugs!

  3. WOW! I should probably just send you the rest of my Mocha DSP–you do such amazing things with it! EVERYTHING about this card is stunning and full of Jaydeeness. I would never have thought of striped butterflies with a printed back layer; so glad you did. 🙂
I’m sorry to hear about Merlin-hope he’s finally on the mend. Please know you are in my prayers.
Have a great day One & All.

  4. I agree….gorgeous card.
Sorry to hear about Merlin and hope this takes care of all his problems and he recovers quickly and gets on the Happy Tail life! : )
I miss our long talks and I will have to case that card.
Sending you an email on some that I made with the Mocha DSP. Nice and sunny in Ohio … wow we have not really had a winter yet…hopefully we won’t and spring will be here before we know. Great pictures on the house Jaydee.

  5. Poor Merlin-I hope this solves his problem.
Your card is so pretty- I am going to order that DSP now! Your use of it is very inspiring. Thanks!

  6. How scary for Merlin to have yet another surgery. He’s no longer a spring chicken, so I know this has been tough on all of you. I pray this is the fix he needs to no longer be ill.
The card is rich and delicious. Rather decadent, really. It reminds me of a gorgeous box of Godiva chocolates. :o)
Lou, I hope your travels are safe and that you are home quickly.
Jaydee, I hope all is well on the home front and that all runs smoothly with the kitties.
    Hugs!
