Autumn Hills

Hi Everyone.  Happy Friday.

Well, I know it was a short week for me this week – but I certainly put in the hours at work to make up for the day that I had off! :-)  I am so glad that it is the weekened.

It's two weeks until Pam and John arrive.  Two weeks!  The time has gone so quickly since we first talked about it and there seems to still be so much to do.  Lou has been very good about doing jobs around the house:  painting; more painting; putting up drape rods; hanging mirrors… you know.. all the sorts of things you have to do in a new house.

Well, I saw this stamp set from PTI called Autumn Hills and knew what I wanted to do with it.  I wanted to make Lou a thank you card for all the effort and time that he has put into the house, especially when he has been traveling so much.   It has meant giving up precious biking time, so I knew it needed a special card.  I thought about all the things he had done to make our house a home…. and that this stamp was perfect.

I really love the stamp and enjoyed coloring it.  Coloring is really very therapeautic.  I am so in love with More Mustard and Cajun Craze as colors for autumn.  I really do love them together.  The wonderfully worn background stamp was just the right touch to give texture to the More Mustard layer.  Oh… and yes, I did really color the trees with three different color pens!  I thought I was going to need a magnifying glass by the end of that little job 🙂

Oh…. guess who visited us again this week.   I was in Lou's office on a conference call, looked out of the window… and what did I see?

I didn't manage to see if he caught anything, but he didn't hang around long!   He sure is gorgeous though!

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Friday night!   Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Ohhh I love that stamp and the card you made! So beautiful. I haven’t seen the stamp is it in the holiday mini or the big catalog? Love the whole card!

  2. Beautiful card Jaydee! I love those colors together and your coloring is SO pretty! You are sweet to give this to Lou.
Your visitor needs a name now. He’s as majestic as a lion. Beautiful shot.

  3. You and Lou are a special couple! It is good to thank your mate for things they do. If more were this considerate, of helping each other and saying Thanks, we would have fewer divorces.
Lovely card and you Hawk is handsome.
Thank you for all the prayers!
