The Greetery Honeycomb Ice Cream and Here’s the Scoop for Time Out Challenges #310

Happy Thursday.

It’s another Time Out challenge this week and we have a sweet challenge for you :-). I was inspired to bring out my Honeycomb sets from The Greetery. I love the interactive nature of these sets and thought this one was perfect for our challenge. I paired this set with a fabulous background die from our fabulous sponsor this week called Sunburst Background from Lawn Fawn.

Here’s a sneak peek:

We also have a fabulous guest designer joining us this week, Dawn Turley from Dawn’s World. Dawn was the winner of our Time Out challenge #305 and she shares a fabulous chocolate themed card with us this week. I hope you will pop along and check it out.

And here’s our badge for this week:

For my card I began with the sunburst background. The great thing about this die is that you can use it without the circle in the middle, with the circle in the middle and even make a shaker out of it! I decided to leave it in and not color it as I wanted all the color to be on the focal point and sentiment.

I then die-cut all the elements and added some blending and splatters to the ice cream cone. I die-cut the sentiment elements and put those together and added the “here’s the” and “you’re so cool” above and below the scoop sentiment.

Here’s a look at the card before the interactive element is activated:

And here’s what it looks like when the peel and stick portion is opened by the recipient:

Isn’t that cool? Yep, pun intended :-). I love these honeycombs and think it’s perfect with the sunburst background.

As always, the design team have some wonderful inspiration for you, so I hope you will pop along and check out their creations, and that you will join us and play along. We would love to see what SWEET TREATS YOU create. Don’t forget that we have a sponsor prize of $25 store credit from our wonderful sponsor Lawn Fawn.

I’ll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Background die: Sunburst – Lawn Fawn
  • Ice Cream: Honeycomb Ice Cream Cone – The Greetery
  • Sentiment: What’s the Scoop – The Greetery

hugs

  1. Jaydee, this is a fun, colorful “Sweet” card for our challenge! I have not yet bought any of the honeycomb products from The Greetery because I can’t decide which one to get (first). This ice cream is so versatile and you chose such fun colors. The “scoop’ word is adorable too! What a great inspiration for our participants in this challenge!

I love the burst background, the cherry on top and those wonderful die cut letters. Thinking about the color of your scoop, I am tasting guava… what a wonderful make for our challenge!
