Cozy Cup Winter Sketches for The Card Concept #167

Happy Tuesday

OK…. freezing again – well 35 degrees below freezing to be exact!  So, how about a nice cup of hot coffee?  I'm playing along with the Card Concept photo inspiration challenge today and it was a perfect opportunity to ink up both the Cozy Cup and Winter Sketches sets from the Greetery.

The Cozy Cup set was the first set I bought from The Greetery.  In fact, it's because of this set that I found The Greetery.  I was commenting on a card that had been submitted to one of the challenges I design for and was amazed by how fabulous the image was on the submission card.  I immediately went to find out who made this set – and buy it!

Here's the photo inspiration:

There was a sort of Nordic folk feel to the cups, so I used my Nordic Frames to frame my focal image.  I found an old piece of tartan paper from Stampin' Up! for the place mat.  As there is texture under the cups, I used my SU brick embossing folder to add that texture to my card.   As the inspiration photo also has berries and greenery, I inked p Winter Sketches and die-cut a branch and added that to my card.

Here's my card:

And… what do you know… it isn't a white card base!!!!  I actually loved the way this card turned out.  But, to be truthful, this fabulous Cozy Cup set is so amazing :-)  The dimension you get in the photographs is fabulous.

I'll be back later in the week with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
