Container Garden for Paper Players #556

Happy Sunday.

Apologies that this post is a little late – especially as it is my turn to host our thepaperplayers.blogspot.comPaper Players challenge this week!

It's tic-tac-toe week and this board has a little something feminine and a little something masculine!  So hopefully, you will join us and play along.

Here's the board:

Screen Shot 2021-08-29 at 3.16.17 PMI went with feminine, birthday and florals.  To make my card I used the Container Garden set from The Greetery – it was really easy to stamp the elements and die-cut them with the matching dies.  I used a colored base – wow…. not the usual white…. I think the world is going to stop on its axis!!!  I used some SU silver mirror card stock to make the jar lid.

I hope you will join us.  We can't wait to see what you do with the board.  If you are looking for some inspiration – the design team have some fabulous cards for you – as always!

On a personal note:

Lou and I have been travelling for a few days so I have not gotten into my craft room for a few days.  I'm hoping that I will get in there this week though.  While we were away, we had massive storms and lots of rain.  Which was really much needed!  My heart and prayers goes out to Louisiana today.  I was in Atlanta 16 years ago when Katrina hit and remember watching the tv in the hotel bar with absolute horror – let's hope that the changes they made to the infrastructure make a difference because this storm is going to be disastrous.  If you are in the path of Ida, I will hold you in my prayers.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. The picture of your lovely card is missing, Jaydee, or am I just missing it? I love your tic-tac-toe challenge board and the cards the others have made. Enjoy your week!

  2. I chuckled at your comment about the colored card base! I always use white too! Your card came together perfectly! What is it that is so appealing about jars? Do you ever think strange things like that? I do all the time! Awesome birthday card and I hope you have a great day!

  3. This is the most beautiful jar of happiness and will make someone’s day on their birthday I’m sure! I love the coloured card base and that you made it one shade darker than the background of the jar.
I was a holiday maker on the island of Cozumel when Katrina hit 16 years ago and it was an experience I will never forget. We were airlifted out of there after a week, but my thoughts were of all the local folk who had to try to pick up the pieces of their lives. Like you, the people in the path of Ida are in my prayers.

  4. Jaydee, this is such a fabulous card. I love the jar full of flowers and greenery! That little bug is just precious! I love the shiny silver top for the jar, too! Have a great rest of the week! It is pouring in Atlanta today.

  5. Your jar of natural goodness is super pretty Jaydee and all the better for the coloured background! I used to use a lot of coloured bases, but lately not so much – I seem to be using more white than ever. Great TTT board this week!!

  6. Jaydee, your jar of flowers is sweet and colorful and that little bee is the cutest accent. Your colored card base is perfect! Hope you’re enjoying your week.
