Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Nance's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great color challenge for us… oh… and… I'm obsessed with the photo she chose for the inspiration!
That pale robin's egg blue with the copper, pink and grey is a stunning – and very unexpected – color combo. Fabulous 🙂
I decided to go with a floral for this and had this idea that I could create pink and grey flowers and then use my copper Kuretake metallic watercolors to color in between them. Ooooooopss….. I then found out that Copper wasn't one of the colors! So, I had to change it up and use my Polychromos pencils, which, luckily, had a copper pencil. It was harder work coloring with a pencil – but it is still quite pretty. It's much prettier in hand though, I must admit.
Here's my card:
and… grrr… the sentiment looks much more golden than it really is! But…I do love the new Altenew Adore You flowers and leaves colored in pink and grey. I used my favorite Studio Katia rectangles for the sentiment layer.
I hope you will join us and play along this week. If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than our fabulous design team:
On a personal note:
It was 45 degrees here today – crazy! The chickadee's thought spring had arrived early and were singing up a storm. It was also a good day to bring in all the Christmas decorations and prepare the front porch for spring. Tomorrow we will be able to do a little clean up in the screened in porch – but we know it is going to be quite a while before we can sit there 🙂
I'll be back later in the week. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee your card is so pretty! I love those flowers on the copper with the shaped stitched sentiment panel adding to the visual interest. 45 degrees? If that’s not evidence of global warming, I don’t know what is! Feel free to send some warmth this way – we are sub-zero this week!
Gorgeous Jaydee! So soft and delicate….just beautiful.
Time to put all my Christmas away too..it does feel like spring is right around the corner.
Have a great week!
Jaydee what fun it is to see your creation using new Altenew goodies. The flowers are so pretty, I love the simple shapes. Love the half-tone sentiment too, a set that is on my wish list. Wishing you a good week 🙂
Jaydee, this is pure gorgeousness. I love the subtle stamping and the copper background. The flowers are so soft and pretty–just perfect for this color challenge! Thinking of you and wishing you a good week too! ((Hugs))
Jaydee, this is gorgeous! I love the copper with those beautiful blooms! That die is fabulous! I don’t think I have ever seen it. I love the copper sentiment and the soft stamping! We have been in the 70’s in ATL. The trees are all blooming and the tulips and daffodils are all blooming. I noticed my azaleas had a few blooms today. It is way to early! I am afraid we will not have any Spring! I am thinking of you and sending you hugs! XXX
Stunning card
Hope you and Lou had a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
Enjoy the rest of the week .
It rained here all day long yesterday and believe it or, once the yard tries out, we will have to mow our yard. It’s getting rather long in some places.
When I can’t work outside; what is a person to do? Me, I canned up 11 – 1/2 pints of strawberry syrup. :}
Such beautiful floral card, Jaydee! Your rich bloomed background is awesome, makes front panel pop.
Love your pretty background and that sentiment…..wowza! A home run all round!
What a classy card! Love your subtle background!
Oooohhhh – this is so pretty! Loving those flowers and your ‘hello’ stencil!
