It's the fabulous Ceal's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a great code word for us:
I was originally going to go with trees… but realized I had this fabulous Altenew cardstock that is woodgrain – and it's a pink color and realized that it would make a fabulous Valentine's/love you card.
We also welcome our new guest designer at ATCAS – Jen. Not only is Jen really talented, but she has the coolest named blog ever:-) Magic Flying Boots.
Hopefully you will be inspired to play along with us this week and we have a great prize for our winner – a $10 dollar store certificate.
I used this uber cute little image and colored it with my Prismacolors. I had a lot of fun coloring the image. Who would have thought that I would enjoy coloring with pencils so much, especially as I first played with pencils and paper 5 decades ago!

Isn't that the cutest little image? I bought it to make cards for Cards for Hospitalized Kids and really love it. I also thought it worked well with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die.
On a personal note:
It's been a busy week for us as we had some very special house guests with us. They arrived hoping to find colder weather and lots of snow….. errr….. not quite what they found. We reached 60 degrees F yesterday – that's about 30 degrees higher than normal, and we are expecting warm weather for the rest of the week. So our guests got to watch what was left of the snow melt away. We did get to do some winter activities though, including watching the Minnesota Wild win at Ice Hockey – and then visited the wonderful little town of Stillwater and the Ice Castles that they build on the banks of the St Croix river. We managed to get there on the last day of the season. The season is generally much longer, but the very high temps makes it dangerous and so they are closed. However…. we are looking forward to returning to normal temps a week from now 🙂
I'm off to play in my craft room today. I haven't been able to get in there and make cards for almost 3 weeks and am itching to get my fingers inky. I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Player's card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Too bad your special house guests didn’t get to enjoy the snow and colder weather, but I guess you never know when it comes to Mother Nature 🙂

It’s 2:30pm CT and we have hit the 80 deg. temperature mark for today. Great day for painting my small outdoor patio table and chairs.

I loved this card with the bunny and heart. I also want to say thank you for the ice castle site. I clicked on it and was just amazed at all I saw. I never heard of this place before and just would love to visit is someday.
