Happy Friday
The talented team across at Just Us Girls have a stencil challenge going on and it inspired me to break out a new stencil from Alex Syberia called Abstract Background. Now, this stencil is supposed to go with a press plate that gives fabulous lines to this but, as this was a stencil challenge, I opted to just use the stencil and leave off all the detail.
Here’s a sneak peek:

Yeah, I know. PINK AGAIN! I have no idea what is happening to me lately! I blame it on my updated Color Cube!

I stenciled the background using 3 RV colors and then die-cut the large hello from Waffle Flower in both orange and white and adhered them together with just a touch of the orange showing.
I die-cut a butterfly from Simon Says Stamp in vellum and added that to the o.
Here’s my card:

I love the soft movement this stencil gives and also like the three shades of RV. I had to stop myself from trying to get a really smooth blend. Although I really wanted to do that, I prefered the less blended approach as it gives more texture and movement.
Here’s a look at the card I used from the Color Cube to give me inspiration:

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
