Happy Thursday.
We have another great Pick 2 for you at Time Out this week and I decided to go all floraly. It seems I don’t use as many florals any more, so thought it was time I got out some of those blousy blooms and showcased them! And the Lush Peony from Alex Syberia is certain blousy, blossomy and beautiful! Oh… and did I forget to mention it’s PINK!!!! I am beginning to think I might need an intervention on pink 🙂
Here’s a sneak peek of my card:

Honestly, those blooms are just gorgeous. For our PICK 2 I chose florals and stitching. Here’s what we have for YOU to pick from:

Before we get to my card, I wanted to mention that our fabulous sponsor this week is NEWTON’S NOOK. There is a $25.00 store credit for the winner of our challenge.
We are also joined this week by our fabulous Guest Designer Heather Heroldt of Handmade by Heather, and winner of Time Out #314 as Guest Designer. Heather is a very talented designer and a frequent and loyal Time Out participant. We always love to see her work in the gallery, and we greatly appreciate her support. Treat yourself to a stroll through her BLOG for some wonderful inspiration.
Now, on to my card. I began with the palest blush cardstock I could find and used that for the base layer and also my focal layer. I then used the Lush Peony Pressplate inked up with a mid-tone grey ink to create my focal image. I used the matching stencils to color the flowers and the leaves and then used then set about fussy cutting the image. That took a while, I can tell you, but I think the end result was worth it!
I then die-cut a stitched postal frame layer as my focal layer and popped that up from the card base with several layers of left over cardstock. I then popped up the florals from the layer and added the sentiment and some pearls for the finishing touch.
Here’s my full card:

Now, it’s over to YOU. We really would love to see what you create from our Pick 2 challenge. As always, the design team have some amazing inspiration for you.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

I am laughing out loud about the “pink intervention”. I just LOVE all of that luscious pink in your design. Love the greens and yellows mixed in. Beautiful design, Image and of course, color!
Jaydee, This is just gorgeous in every way! The softest pink background, the perfect stenciling, that postage frame behind the flowers. I absolutely love it all!
