Happy Saturday.
Melanie is our host for our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and her code word inspired me to get out a set that I acquired as part of the recent Concord and 9th Summer Camp called Calm Waters. It’s a really cool set but I only used a small part of it.
Here’s our code word:

We’ve certainly seen a lot of water in recent weeks in my neck of the woods! For my card I used the wonderful little Koi fish that come as part of the die set as well as the background stencil.
Here’s a sneak peek:

I die cut the elements for the fish and glued them together. I then created a mask from a Spellbinders rounded ovals die and used the stencils to create the watery background.
I added lots of splatter with my metallic blue and silver paints as well as some clear dots near the heads of the fish. The lily pad is also part of the same Calm Waters kit. It’s really such a cool set and I will share a couple more cards made with this kit in the coming week. I love that the fish can be used without the rest of the kit to create a soft, calm and serene card.
Here’s my full card:

As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you and I hope you will play along with our challenge. We would love to see how Melanie’s code word inspires you.
I’ll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
