Butterfly for 102 years young

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday night… Oh yes.. the weekend is almost upon us.  Did I say I was happy about that? 🙂

Two things to share with you tonight – one  of which is a gorgeous card made to celebrate the birthday of a 102 year-young lady in England!

So… y'all know I don't do much selling on my blog.  so bear with me for a couple of minutes whilst I remind you of a couple of things… a gentle reminder that there are only 28 days left of Sale A Bration.  Now, I don't know about you… but I think SAB has been fantastic this year.  I love the fact that you can order from the Idea Book and Catalog to add to your stamp collection.

Also…that means that there are only 28 more days to get the incredible deal when you sign up as a demonstrator.  Now… the thing about signing up as a demonstrator….. there is no push.  Some people, like me, sign up for the discounts and then decide to branch out a little.  Some people sign up because they want to supplement their incomes.  Some people sign up, get the deal offered during Sale A Bration, order what they want out of the catalog to get the discounts and then never do anything again.

Stampin' Up caters to all of us – and that's one of the things I love about it.  Let me tell you a little about the deal during SAB.  So, whether you want to start your own business, or just join up to get the discounts and the special deal…. it's really worth while looking to do it now.

Why? There is a 15% discount on the price of either the standard kit, or the digital kit.  AND… you get a free stamp set from the current catalog to the value of $47.95…. Any stamp from the catalog to the value of $47.95 – I think that's a deal.

You get over $355 worth of actual products (stamp sets, pads, paper, etc.) as well as business tools included, (should you want to sign up to earn extra income) for $169.  That's almost 40% off the retail price of the goodies.  Plus… you immediately start earning discounts on any products you buy.  That's really quite a deal!

I joined during Sale A Bration last year just because I wanted the discounts.  What it has brought me is something so much more.  I get to share my love of crafting with a beautiful bunch of bloggers and blogwatchers and customers.. and I have met some amazing people doing this.

So… think about it and if you have a demonstrator, talk to them about joining up – especially whilst the deal is so great.  If you don't have a demonstrator and would be interested in joining my team….. just send me an email, I'd love to give you all the details.

Ok… so now on to the card for tonight….. I think some of you may remember the butterfly card I made a little while ago…… on this post.  Well, about two weeks ago i was contacted by Linda, a fellow crafter from London, England.  Linda really loved the card and was very interested in the butterfly.  Unfortunately, Linda was not able to find this die in the UK, nor was she able to find it on a local auction site.  Linda let me know that she was looking to make a card for a lady who was due to turn 102 years old and really wanted to make a card using the butterfly.

So, I offered to cut some butterflies using the Butterfly die and my DSP and post them off to her. I was thrilled when she sent me pictures today of the card she made.  It's gorgeous!!!  I love the fact that the outline is basically the same, but that it turned into a rich, luscious card that I know her grandma will love.  Who wouldn't love it?  I can think of so many people who would love to receive this card.

Apart from the fact I LOVE the box… let's take a look at a closeup of this gorgeous card

and then one of the details

isn't that just gorgeous?  I'm thrilled that Linda was inspired to create a card for her grammy based on my card and I was honored to be able to help out just a little by providing butterflies.  So, Happy Birthday Grammy!  I bet she's an amazing lady.  Linda… thank you for sharing your creation with us.

Oh.. talking about birthday's… It's Beth's birthday this month, too.  As for mine… well… mine falls on the 20.  My mother never failed to remind me that I was born 2.5 months premature, in the middle of the night – in fact a little after midnight – in the midst of a dreadful storm.  Considering my auspicious entry into the world… it probably says a lot about why I am what I am 🙂

Thank you to all of you who have sent my birthday wishes.  thank you, thank you, thank you….I really appreciate it.

I wish you all a wonderful Thursday.  Filled with love, laughter and everything that makes you happy.

Hugs
Jaydee
P.S.  I'd love it if you would leave a comment and let Linda know what you think about her card 🙂
