Quick post for you tonight. Lou and I are going to dinner and I need to go and get ready to spend a little time with my honey 🙂
Sometimes, I just need a masculine Christmas card. I don't know…. I suppose it sounds odd, but…. I am a little odd 🙂
Once again, I pulled out the good old MDS. I needed to size the house from Christmas Lodge and I also wanted it to be a more muted color. I couldn't find a masculine Christmas DSP and then realized that Well Worn might just work for me. Changing it out from traditional Christmas paper and using the "celebrate the season" sentiment (also MDS), meant that it was a card that would fill a multitude of needs in our ever multi-cultural society.
Here's what I came up with
I really think the paper works. It kind of reminds me of brick and therefore fits with the brick of the house. It really is fabulous DSP.
On a personal note:
3 inches of snow forecast for tomorrow :-) Yipeeeeeee…. Our house is almost decorated. Not quite finished yet, but getting there. We should be able to finish it this weekend.
Today we had our realtor come around to check out the house and give us an idea of what she thinks the house could go on the market for. We bought our house from her 14 years ago and she was so surprised to see what it was like inside. In fact, she was so surprised by how well the house shows, and the updates that we have done, that she immediately upped the purchase price by 10%. We were VERY pleased with that. So, all that's left to do now, is to get those pesky little things done (like repainting the window frames) and then it should be good to go on the market in Spring. It felt really good to know that asking price was going to be higher than we had anticipated. It also looks as though the housing market in our area is picking up, too. Which is also great!

Did you flock the snow on the roof and porches? Fantastic touch Jaydee! Your choice of DSP is perfect, I would never have thought of that…which is why you are Jaydee and I’m not!!
