Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
Greetings from a snowy Minnesota! As the snow has covered the ground and the chickadees are very frequent at the feeders, I thought it was time to bring my new Chickadee stamp set out and the challenge at Merry Mondays was the perfect one to use!
Seriously? Whenever have I needed an excuse to make a card using a bird? :-) This stamp set has the most fabulous image of a chickadee and I had such incredible fun coloring it. Oh! and, considering doctor's are now saying that coloring helps relieve stress – it's a win-win 🙂
Here's my card:
I stamped the image using Memento Black ink and then used my Copic Markers to color it. It was incredibly relaxing. I mounted the focal layer onto fun foam and then onto a Recollections #110 white base.

On a personal note:
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have about 4 inches on the ground today – that really wet, sticky stuffy and have about another 3+ inches to come overnight. The wetland takes on a whole different feel – and look – when there is snow on it. Even when it isn't a full moon outside, the snow reflects back so much light and the wetland comes alive at night. I love it.
Today was the last day of my short Thanksgiving vacation and I spent the afternoon finishing our Christmas cards. We really need to get them signed and into the post. It will mark the first year in ages that we will have gotten our cards out before the end of the second week in December! Tonight's card is one of the ones that I made several of to send out this year. I'll be sharing another image from this set tomorrow night.

Beautiful chickadee card!
Such a lovely card; simple, yet elegant.
Since last Thursday through Sunday we received over 8 inches of rain; wet, soggy mess around here to say the least but will be having pretty nice weather the remainder of the week.
Busy here preparing for our family Christmas gathering come this Sunday. Will be 17 of us
