Happy Friday.
It’s another INSPO challenge across at Festive Friday this week. We have a fun theme for you – it’s Hot Air Balloon Day. Who knew that there was such a thing? I didn’t, but it was a great excuse to open up a new set from Concord and 9th called Up and Away.
Here’s a sneak peek:

Just a reminder that our challenge does not require you to follow the theme or holiday that we are celebrating, all you need to do is include at least 3 elements from our INSPO list. You can find those below:

I began my card by die cutting the balloon pieces and adhering them. I then used a cloud stencil to create a softly blended background. I used a couple of the die-cut clouds from the Up and Away set to create a little more depth and added those to the base.
I then popped up the balloons and added the finishing touches with the flag and the banner.
Here’s my card:

INSPO ELEMENTS: Balloons, Clouds, Birthday Sentiment, Ink Blending
As always our design team have some fabulous inspiration for you.
I’ll be back on Sunday with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
- Dies and stamps: Up and Away – Concord and 9th

Jaydee, this is SO sweet! I love the soft colors, they really accent the carefree, breezy feelings of hot air balloons! Mind you, I’ve never been in one but I can just imagine the exhileration of floating off into the deep blue sky 😉
Love your card! I have ridden in a hot air balloon and that was so much fun. Felt so free up there in the sky. Champagne after landing.
