Happy Saturday.
Well, I did say I was inspired by the photo moodboard across at Just Us Girls this week. My last card, which you can see here, was more of a literal take on the photo, this one was inspired by the paintings behind the couch.
Here’s a sneak peek:

Oh, those bright oranges, reds and deep teal! 🙂
Here’s the moodboard:
I loved the mix of shapes and colors from the artwork and realized that I had a Postage Collage stencil that I got as part of the original set that would work. I’ve never used the stencil before, so it was a great excuse to get it out and ink it up.
I chose the colors to match the moodboard and went to town coloring the different parts of each square. I then die-cut each of them and stamped and die-cut a sentiment.
When I went to arrange the stamps I felt that the background needed something to help ground the stamps, so added some black and teal splatters. I also added three franking elements from the Postage Collage Love stamp set to add a little more black.
I then arranged the stamps and the sentiment and adhered them to the base.
Here’s my full card:

Don’t those bright colors just make you happy? It was fun taping off parts of each of the stencils to add the different colors:-)
I know the team at Just Us Girls would love it if you played along with their challenge! I’ll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
- Stencils: Postage Collage Coloring Stencil – Waffle Flower
- Dies: Postage Collage Dies – Waffle Flower
- Sentiment: Illuminated Scenes – Altenew

Such a pretty way to frame the stenciled patterns like the artwork in the moodboard! The spatters do add visual interest to the “stamps” in the foreground. Fun take on the challenge! Thanks for adding a second inspired card to our challenge at Just Us Girls!
Jaydee… two fabulous cards for Just Us Girls. Thank you!
Brilliant to use your WF postage collage dies and stencils for this challenge. So fun! Thank you for joining us with a second amazing card!
