Cozy Cup for Paper Players #594

Happy Sunday

It's the fablous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week – and she has a great theme for us.  This theme was another great excuse (do I really need an excuse to use this set?) to ink up my favorite Cozy Cups set from The Greetery.  This time I paired it with some fabulous textured card stock and an old Tim Holtz stencil.  Here's a sneak peek:

Here's Anne Marie's theme:

I love the dimension that this set gives and it was the first set that I bought from The Greetery.  I remember commenting on a card that had been submitted for one of the design team challenges and falling in love with the set.  As soon as I had finished commenting, I immediately went off to go and track it down!  It's remained  a favorite ever since.

Here's my card:

I hope you will join us and play along with Anne Marie's challenge.  We can't wait to see what you create.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Well, we have managed to unpack all but two boxes.  However, we have to go back to the house to collect all the things we left for staging.  UGH…. where are we going to put it all?  Storage, me thinks!   We are loving living in the apartment.  Life is so much more relaxing, everything is so close, and it takes no time at all to do housework!  Oh, and if something goes wrong – we call maintenance!   We have quickly adjusted to living in a much smaller space, too.   My craft room has taken a couple of weeks too get right.  I had so much space in the house and I don't have that here.  However, I do still have a very generous room – it just means that I have had to be extra organized and I am loving the new space.  I'll do a tour of the craft room for you in a couple of weeks!  I am loving having everything organized and where I need it to be.  It really does make crafting more fun – and easier!  Mind you, it took a couple of days to really get back into the swing of creating!!!

I did promise a couple of photographs for you.  Luckily, the birds are pretty close to us as we are at tree top height.  They keep the cats entertained and brighten our day!

The little chickadees were the first to arrive at the new feeders and regularly return to feed themselves and their little babies!  We haven't seen the youngsters yet, but are hoping we will see them soon!

The house finches are constantly at the feeder and regale us with their pretty song as payment :-)  We have seen their babies come to the feeder and watched mom and dad try to encourage the little ones to eat on their own.

I hope you enjoyed a couple of shots of our visitors!  I'll be back tomorrow with another card and another photo!  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Jaydee… I so love this card! Warm and inviting! I can see why you grabbed that set. The fringed napkin is adorable! Congratulations on the move! I made the shrinking move five years ago and don’t regret it. Though the 10×10 craft room was difficult to adjust to…I have so much stuff and can’t seem to winnow it down. This year I am adding an addition 10×30 to the side of the house facing the water… I think what I really need is a view! Sounds like you have a beautiful view from your new place… so happy for you!!!

  2. Oh, Jaydee! I always love it when you use this set! The fringed napkin is adorable, and it looks like a very skilled barista created this cup of coffee art. Great colors! It appears that you have some sweet feathery visitors. Have a wonderful week!
