Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
It's my final turn as featured designer at Merry Monday this week and I can honestly say that I have had a blast this last month. The MM team is a very talented group of ladies and I am so pleased to have been playing along with them in September.
It's the fabulous Katie's turn to host our challenge this week and she has a fabulous one:
Now, there are so many wonderful places you can go with dots and stripes – from warm and cozy and log cabiny – all the way to clean and simple. I bet you can guess which way I went!
I used a Papertrey Ink set called Holiday Cheer to stamp my striped – and dotted – trees. I used Mellow Moss ink, which is a gorgeous deep holiday green and paired it with some SU speciality DSO that has fabulous gold stripes. I popped the trees up on dimensionals and added some gold stickles to create the "dots" well, actually baubles 🙂 – on the tree.
I thought the sentiment should be a little muted, as I wanted the trees to take center stage, so I stamped them with Gold Encore Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

Okay, I seriously love this so much! The way the strip along the edge mimics the stripes in the trees is brilliant!
